I have stupid headcanon that, after being brainwashed, Logan started to see Rorke as a father figure.
And in the crazy storyline in my head, after Rorke was killed by Ghosts, Logan is feeling double pain. He lost his real father, and then he lost his stepfather (whom he had come to see as his real father).
And with his unstable mental state after everything that happened, he’ll just start to lose his mind a little.
I can’t see Rorke as a complete villain. He’s just as much a victim of circumstance as Logan is.
[ID: drawing of gabriel rorke from call of duty: ghosts laying on a bed of sunflowers, with the point of view being directly above him. he's in his gear from the "legends never die" mission, and is staring forward with a saddened expression on his face. his wounds on face and wrist are fresh, but not bleeding. there is an orange light coming from the side, as if the sun was setting. CW: periods, talking about period products, fluff and comedy
Keegan: You didn’t realize you were starting so soon, so you asked him to buy you some pads before he came home. He didn’t know what to expect at first, so when he got to the feminine products isle he sort of..short circuited. He spent the next 20 minutes staring at each product, trying to deduce which would suit you best. In the end, he decided better safe than sorry and grabbed three different brands of pads with different sizes for you. When you got home, he sat nervously at the kitchen table with his arms crossed and the pads sitting on the table beside him. You proceeded to tease him about all the different sizes he bought but kissed him softly to thank him, his nerves instantly relaxing as he pulled you against him, kissing you back gently.
Kick: aight babe I’m in the pad isle what size pussy you wear? Jk.
You lay curled in the fetal position on the couch, whimpering as you clutched your stomach, your cramps being particularly awful today. Kick entered the room and raised an eyebrow, having the nerve to ask what was wrong. When you groaned and shot him a death stare, he knew. He swiftly grabbed his keys and left the room, only to be seen an hour later, returning with a few plastic bags containing some items for you. He sat a bottle of ibuprofen on the coffee table, and placed a box of your favorite chocolates beside it. When you perked up a little at the products, Kick grinned and sat beside you on the couch, patting his lap gently. You laid your head in his lap, sighing as he gently ran his fingers through your hair, soothing you. You knew you’d have to thank him later, but for now, you were content like this.
Merrick: Merrick was raised in a family with 3 sisters, so he knew what was up the second you started to get moody with him out of nowhere. He walked into your shared bedroom and noticed you curled up under the covers, brows furrowed and trying your hardest to stay warm. He left the room for a moment, returning with a cold glass of water and the heating pad. When you poked your head out from under the covers, your eyes lit up, and Merrick couldn’t contain his smile with how cozy you looked. He plugged the heating pad in and wrapped it around you, crawling into bed with you as well and wrapping himself around you. You melted into his embrace, sighing as his burly arms engulfed you.
Hesh: He had been wondering why Riley was so attached to you for the last few days, constantly sniffing you and invading your personal space. it wasn’t until you had asked him to buy you some tampons that it all clicked for him. He agreed, but once he got to the store he was intimidated by all the products. And sizes? What size did you wear? How does that even work? He stood staring at the products for a solid minute before he grabbed an assorted box, hoping one of the sizes would be correct for you. When he returned home, he found you sitting in bed with a blanket wrapped around you. When you noticed him he smiled and placed the box down on the bedside table, earning a small smile of appreciation from you. He couldn’t wait to see your face light up when he pulled the flowers he had gotten for you out from behind his back.
Logan: Logan, the quiet observer that he is, knew before you even started. When you had complained about how bloated you were, and how much you were breaking out, and how much your head had been hurting lately, he knew. You woke up feeling sluggish and sore one morning, and when you headed down the stairs you noticed a cup of hot raspberry leaf tea sitting on the kitchen table, as well as a box of Midol and an assortment of your favorite snacks. You picked up the note sitting next to the snacks reading:
“Had to leave for work. Hope you feel better. See you tonight. Xo.”
You smiled, and couldn’t help but feel grateful for your amazing partner.
Rorke: Rorke wasn’t the most experienced with this sort of thing, so when he came into the kitchen one morning and noticed you boiling something, he smirked, slinking his way up behind you and wrapping his arms around your waist, nuzzling his nose into your neck and inhaling your scent.
“You cooking us breakfast, darling? I gotta say, I don’t like my eggs boiled…”
You paused, not knowing what he was talking about and turning to him with an eyebrow raised.
“Um…honey..this is a…menstrual cup.” You said, biting the inside of your lip to stifle a laugh.
Rorke’s face went red, and he let go of you, rubbing the back of his neck nervously as he stuttered over his words. You couldn’t help but laugh at his embarrassment, and he scoffed, pulling you in once again and nipping your neck, causing a squeal from you.
cod ghosts was peak (recent ish)cod(outside of black ops 1 2 and cold war) and ima explain why
1: They started from scratch
cod games love to just play off the same damn characters, mason’s son being the next lead? His best friend being Woods but Guardians of the Galaxy edition? Genuinely dragging Woods out(we love him tho), using mind control as a theme in BO over and over and over and over, rebooting modern warfare, same criminal(kinda), same team, they can’t come up with anything new. Ghosts is something new, Ghosts not only had an entirely fictionally created antagonist, instead of just Russians, but it had a whole new team, with a whole new backstory, and a whole new goal.
2: they developed characters well.
Black ops and MW just rely on you already knowing the characters and their story, they’re minimally developed. Ghosts had completely new characters, were given a family, and eventually a team. I love Ghosts because you have a brother the whole time, you start off with your dad telling you a story. Then we join this team and the characters are developed, Keegan’s best friend dies, they struggle with their own teammate being turned against him.
3: there’s a story, a real, true story.
MW2 for example is part of a story, we get a couple characters thrown at us half assed, and a piece of a story you wouldn’t understand shit abt without playing the other games. Ghosts had everything, an exposition, a rising action, a climax, a falling action, and a resolution(minus the cheap attempt for a sequel) we learned the problem and the characters, the problem intensified, it reached a fever pitch and then “resolved.” You can play the game and JUST play the game.
Cod needs to bring back games like this. They need to branch out because that’s when they make quality. A quality game isn’t gonna be Black Ops 8000 and MW4, it’s gonna be the game they finally try on, and don’t just play it safe.
