translate: Rorke freezes. The hum of the bunker's ventilation suddenly seems deafening. He doesn't look at his interlocutor—his gaze is fixed on the wall where, once, in another life, their shared operation map hung. His voice, when he begins to speak, is devoid of its usual metallic edge—it's hoarse, almost confessional.

"We weren't just a team. We were... symmetry. He was the order. I was the shadow that carried it out. We understood each other without words. Knew what the other was feeling in the lull before the assault. It was... synchronicity. Far more dangerous than trust."

He slowly pulls out from his breast pocket not a weapon, but a crumpled black-and-white photograph. In it are two young soldiers by a helicopter. Elias is looking into the frame, smiling. Rorke is looking at him. On the back—faded coordinate numbers and a smudged inscription: "Behind you. Always."

"When they took me in Campeche... the last clear image before the world dissolved into pain and lies was his face . A voice that said: 'Hold on, Gabriel.' And then... silence."

I have stupid headcanon that, after being brainwashed, Logan started to see Rorke as a father figure.

And in the crazy storyline in my head, after Rorke was killed by Ghosts, Logan is feeling double pain. He lost his real father, and then he lost his stepfather (whom he had come to see as his real father).

And with his unstable mental state after everything that happened, he’ll just start to lose his mind a little.

I can’t see Rorke as a complete villain. He’s just as much a victim of circumstance as Logan is.

Random Headcanons Part 1

Just posting some random headcanons that I have of the COD boys.

KRUEGER: This man reads philosophy and psychology books in his spare time. He enjoys what he learns from them, and he even more so enjoys using what he learns from them. He's an asshole, but not in the same way that Y/n (Keegan zombie story) is. He is cocky, smug, smart, and arrogant.

KEEGAN: This man hates throwing up. He has waded through the most disgusting water you've ever imagined times ten. He's sat in a truck with half a dozen other sweaty and smelly men after an op. He was once a recruit who slept in a room full of farting young men who ate their food too fast. He has seen gore, caused gore, and felt gore. He will watch other people throw up and shrug like it's an average Tuesday. But when it comes time for him to throw up, he is the biggest baby. He will refuse to do it, even if poison is in his system. He would rather it come out the other end than have it come back out his mouth. He shakes and whimpers and acts like he's just taken a bullet. Maybe he cries too; if he does, he wouldn't do it around others.

LOGAN: He likes to go fishing. He could spend hours just sitting in a boat or on some rocks and quietly relaxing and fishing, the only thing that hasn't tried to kill him yet. He is also crazy good at it too, but never when other people are around to see. Logan will talk about how good his skills are and bring home a bunch of fish after solo fishing, but when he catches nothing while with Hesh, his brother will make fun of him for it.

RORKE: Have you ever seen that Voldemort-L'Oreal Paris meme? Yeah... that's Rorke. I know it's most likely that he does have hair and just keeps it shaved, but let me believe that he is bald and proud of it. He has an assortment of creams that he takes time every morning to massage into his hairless glory. He only wears a bandana over it to protect it from sunburn; otherwise, he would be showing it off. It's not the shiny kind of bald either, but still a good kind of bald, and he pulls it off. Villains have to look good too, you know.
