Could you tell us some of your personal lore/headcanons for after Rorke takes Logan from the beach? I saw your drawing of them and it was amazing!!! Your artstyle is so good.
I'm glad you liked my art!
Now, dive into my crazy head.
(What follows will be wild storylines, little logic, mistakes, and several variations on the same theme. Those who appreciate well-written text might want to close their eyes.)
So, in my vision, I decided a long time ago that I didnāt want anyone from the Ghosts squad to die. As far as Iām concerned, itās pretty illogical and unnecessary. I donāt really see how it would advance the story. They all need to stay alive. (Iād rather break them down mentally.)
We already have an excellent conflict centered on revenge (the deaths of Ajax and Elias, and Loganās abduction). We donāt need anything else.
Logan has been brainwashed. Completely. In fact, Rork would use the ācarrot and stickā approach. He would strip Logan of everything, making him suffer, and put him under psychological pressure. And he would ensure that Rorke remained the only āsaviorā amidst all this agony. Heās not stupid enough to build his captive-subordinateās trust on fear or malice. He makes him literally dependent on him and believe that heās the only one who can save him. And others are either using him or want to harm him.
I donāt think Rorke would feel any paternal feelings toward Logan. That would happen much later, when Logan was completely ensnared in his manipulations and Rorke was sure that he would not betray him. Although, you canāt really call it true fatherhood either⦠itās more like the relationship with a dog that used to bite, but after you starved it, it started wagging its tail.
Over time, Logan would begin to forget what came before. His family, his father, his brother. Riley. In fact, it wouldnāt be a complete loss of memory; his brain would simply block out those memories in an attempt to deal with the agony of loss and his new reality.
The whole ācampaignā would mostly consist of the Ghosts chasing after Rorke and Logan. Just like it actually was in the first game. But their goals would be much more intertwined.
Theyād need to catch Rorke.
Catch him and bring Logan back.
Uncover the secrets behind all the crap theyāre involved in.
And, if possible, destroy or spark a revolution in both countries (I donāt remember what the Federation is there; Iām too lazy to look it up, so correct me if Iām wrong).
1: Ghosts manages to capture Logan by killing Rorke. Logan is in a state of panic, confusion, and despair. Someone close to him has died. Again. The appearance of the Ghosts and the accompanying pain trigger many memories. But with old and new memories jumbled together, everything turns into a mess. He starts to slowly lose his mind, but after therapy and other crap, he returns to relative normalcy. In fact, everything ends on a fairly neutral note. Iād rate this a solid 5/10. If you think about it, itās all pretty dramatic.
Alternative to the first: Even with his old memories, Logan, due to brainwashing, effectively takes Rorkeās place. The Ghosts will either hunt him down again or kill him just like they did Rorke (Hesh will accept it). The ending itself doesnāt mean much. 6/10.
2: Using deception and good tactics, they capture Logan and Rorke. Now their goal isnāt to kill Rorke, but to bring him back into the squad. Rorke, of course, WILL definitely try to provoke them and get them riled up in every way possible, but it wonāt work very well. After Rorke spends quite a while kissing the pavement, and after they provide evidence of what the Federation is doing against everyone and against him, theyāll manage toāalbeit superficiallyāchange Rorkeās mind. I donāt have much to say about Logan. Most likely, heāll resemble a glass figurine. Heāll probably not react to anything at all. Just like a piece of furniture.
Now the Ghosts have a new target: the Federation and the US (again, correct me if Iām wrong, I might be really messing up the GLOBAL situation). I think theyād totally start a rebellion, selectively taking out/framing soldiers from both armies. A lot of secret files would be leaked. God, imagine a stealth mission with the entire squad, where weād have to spend time checking boxes and actually READING. That would be hardcore.
They would destroy both the Federation and the US from the inside. And that would either have a positive outcome (an alliance, or something like that). Or a negative one (escalation of the conflict. The collapse of both sides.)
But in any case, the situation would have moved forward. Because despite all these events, it seems to me that the war itself was GLOBALLY at a standstill (again, correct me if Iām wrong).
Iād rate all this at about an 8/10.
An alternative to the second scenario: Rorke would start fucking around and get killed. Lol.
Of course, all this has a lot of holes in the plot and other things. BUT. If anyone is REALLY interested in how Iād outline this THOUGHTFULLY (rather than just blurting out this plot in 30 minutes), then I can seriously sit down and write out the storyline. What youāre seeing right now is more like quick notes. I donāt think on a global scale, lol.
(Sorry for any mistakes in the text.)
