ANUSHKA DOLOHOV is a 22 year old PUREBLOOD, a former DURMSTRANG STUDENT, and an FOREIGN AFFAIRS DIPLOMAT who is a CIVILLIAN and uses SHE/HER pronouns. They are categorized as CODE TWO. They are currently CLOSED.
You run free in London with the hint of a smile, your wild tresses flying behind you | Scratched up knees and satin bows, you make life what you want it to be | Your mother tried to tame you into a lady, but your father’s daughter could only be fleeting like the wind.
The only daughter of the Pakhan, Anushka grew up no stranger to the duty paired with the luxury she had been raised in. As a child, she was a model of perfection for her mother, at times nothing more than a little doll to be dressed prettily and sit quietly at dinners and parties. The older she grew, however, the more her eyes followed her older brother and his activities, the freedoms he enjoyed even as he displayed excellence to their parents.
Anushka pulled away from her mother’s grasping hands as she entered school, finding that her impeccable manners provided a very handy shield to hide behind. She may not have enjoyed the level of influence Antonin did while at Durmstrang, but he had certainly prepared the playing field nicely for her where the fear of their father hadn’t touched. Anushka made many friends with her softer personality and contagious laugh and got most of them into plenty of trouble alongside her with her schemes and antics.
Her brother leaving left a significant scar on the Dolohov household, no matter how Adrik insisted it was for the best that the eldest child make connections in England. Though Antonin often harassed Anushka with his overprotective behavior and outright bossiness, the absence of it was something she felt keenly. When he elected to stay even longer, the prickle of restless energy pressed upon her more. It seemed as if Anushka had almost calmed down as she finished school and took up responsibility within her family, though in truth she had merely gotten better at not being caught, hiding skinned knees under long precious skirts and mastering tucking her hair away in scarves to save it from wind and undergrowth. As the war in England came to a close, Anushka looked forward to seeing her distant brother again at last, only to learn of his intentions to stay even longer with their father’s approval. At this point becoming a bit annoyed at Antonin’s prolonged stay, Anushka took it upon herself to request she also get to go, for the good of the family of course. Surprisingly, Anushka was allowed to go, being presented as a diplomat to the new Ministry in hopes of gaining connection for the Bratva. It had seemed like almost too easy a task at first, what with Antonin already being deeply involved in the cause there. Once there, however, Anushka found herself face to face with quite the mess as the new Ministry put new laws and restrictions into place.
Whereas Antonin is a lit bomb waiting for the fuse to run out, Anushka contains a quiet, patient temper. She believes in cold vengeance, the sweet slip of a knife in the back of those thought to be forgiven, all pretty smiles to your face until the time is right. She knows precisely when to play her cards and while the volume of her brother’s rage was a new surprise as well as many other things, she knew she could find a way to twist it to her advantage.
Blood purity is an idea that is quite lost on her, power is power no matter the source of it. Not that she intends to tell any of them that. Her time seems better suited to getting into the good graces of those in power rather than debating ideals with them, especially given how riled up it makes some of them. English has proved another problem, though she doubts anyone has really noticed if she stumbles a bit through more complicated conversation.
Now in a strange place with even stranger people, Anushka is eager to reunite with those she’s close with and to make friends where she can. There is much to learn in this odd little country with their soggy food and tea obsession. She is ready for the time away from her parents and their never ending list of rules, it was time to find what was so exciting about London.
ANTONIN DOLOHOV: Brother. They left you behind and even now on your arrival it’s like you barely exist. But you love them still and pray to whatever divine power there may be that they are kept safe. You know they’re in over their head, this isn’t them. Your father, the Pakhan, may not be so straight laced, but your mother raised her children better. You find yourself thinking that at least with the Bratva the lives of innocents are spared.
LILY POTTER: Confidant. Your brother doesn’t know. You should have just ignored them but you’re kindred souls in a way, and they were just so broken. It was mere chance that you met in the first place. Now you check on them weekly. You’ve always been good at comforting people and they can see that you’re genuine, that you’re not aligned to either side but you’re there to listen, regardless.
EVAN ROSIER: Acquaintance/Supplier. The guy creeps you out, you wish he’d just leave you alone. Okay so maybe you shouldn’t have gotten high with him that one time, or the time after that. You tell yourself that it’s just the good kush that makes his wry jokes funny. It’s a welcomed distraction, and there’s a certain point when his company isn’t the absolute worst, but you’re not about to go and tell him as much.
WENDY SLINKHARD: A new friend. Theirs had been a chance encounter, but even now Anushka is fascinated with her. Finding good conversation with someone had almost seemed an impossible task when she first arrived to the city. Wendy had a sweet, open way about her that Anushka enjoyed and many interesting things to say and places to show her. It was only later that Anushka found out her odd relationship with Antonin, but it certainly didn’t seem like enough to give up such a pleasant friendship. William Mulciber - acquaintance - He’d been quite creepy at first, overly flirty and in her face at first. He was settling down a bit, thankfully, and the more time Anushka spends with him the more he sees his true goal in speaking with her. The two have an agreement to use one another for the attention of her brother, because at this point even if he’s angry at least he’s speaking to them.
