I love how those of us who were around during the Legacy era have collectively deleted Ted Dibiase Jr. and Codiase from our memories. Like what do you mean there was a third guy in Legacy? Candynation 4 life. Love that for us.

I've added another chapter to my Are You Afraid of the Dark? Fic.
Chapter 2: The Tale of Prom Night
Summary:
“It’s Martin tonight, right?” Tim asks as he takes his seat.
“Yes, uh, that reminds me.” Jon reaches down next to his seat, grabbing the velvet bag he had last week. “Here,” he says, extending his arm out to Martin. “Just a small handful is all you need.”
“Ok,” Martin breathes out, taking the bag.
“Are you ready?” Jon asks.
“I suppose so.” Martin closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. When he opens his eyes, he sees everyone is turned to face him. “For tonight’s meeting of the Midnight Society, I present to you, The Tale of Prom Night.” He takes the small handful of dust and tosses it into the fire.
Notes:
This chapter is based off my favorite episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark?, "Tale of the Dream Girl." There's a few other episodes that I pulled inspiration from, as well. The characters in the story itself are very near and dear to me, and I love them with my whole heart.

think i might turn this new experiment of mine into a series. let me know your thoughts xoxo
What if...
…there was another universe where most of the gay ships are canon, but the straight ships aren’t?
do you think they’ve explored each others bodies
What's your Codiase endgame if Randy is out of the picture? Does it have legs to stand on long-term?
you know, i read this ask and my first thought was "omg of course codiase would last long term if randy was out of the picture! they'll be together forever!"
but then i thought more about it and came to kind of a harrowing realization
i think cody and ted love each other. so much, more than anything. they genuinely want each other to be happy and to live their best life. they want to be with each other so badly, and they try so hard to make it work. they communicate, they're always changing things up, but the unfortunate reality is that it will never be enough
because no matter how hard they try, the truth of their incompatibilities will shine through. ted is more sensitive than he lets on and cody has more of a petulant mean streak that ted is just not made to deal with. i also don't believe they'd be compatible sexually and a great sex life is important to cody
so. cody and ted would be together for a few years. hell, they just might even get married.
but ultimately, it won't last. they just aren't meant to be with each other that way.
title: escape with a smile (click here for the ao3 version) pairing: past ted dibiase jr/cody rhodes word count: 1953 description: It's been years since Ted dumped Cody. Now, he wants Cody to visit him in prison. And Cody does.
A big reason why Cody wears suits, apart from how good he looks in them, is that it also offers an illusion of security. As if the more he wears, the more accessories he adds on, it will fully shield from the harsh reality that is life. You never know what you’re going to expect, but at the very least, you can put on a nice outfit and take comfort in the knowledge that with whatever happens, you’ll look good taking it as it comes.
Without his suit, he feels very naked, but he’s not going to wear his finest clothing to enter a prison, so he dons only jeans and an old hoodie. Though there is some comfort in the fact that he’s, well, comfortable.
Cody looks around the room at everyone talking to their loved ones through glass screens and telephones. There’re all sorts of people visiting - women in nice dresses with flashy jewelry to women in sweats, men in finely tailored suits to those in their pajamas, though the prisoners wear the same jumpsuits, only in different colors. Some of them have tattoos and others are as plain as the day they were born.
Ted Dibiase Jr. would fall into the latter camp.
Cody takes a deep breath as he watches Ted sit down across from him. The orange jumpsuit looks a bit tight on him and around his stomach and he knows that has to be uncomfortable for someone who has went so long being able to have clothes made to his particular size, to account for every single square inch of his body, and there is no way in hell prison will have anything appropriate for him.
Ted reaches for the phone and so does Cody.
“It’s been awhile,” Ted chuckles. “Didn’t know if you’d actually wanna come.”
“Like you said,” Cody begins, “it’s been awhile.”
