Hello!!! If you want to, could you write an Omega!Carlos dropping hard and Alpha!Jay not being able to pull him out of it for days and when he eventually does, he’s so worried about Carlos and what happened and what caused it, that Carlos panics and runs from him. Agh, sorry this prompt is kinda long, thank you so much in advance if you do write it!! – Alex (@codv)
Sorry for the long wait @codv, I hope you enjoy it!

The gentle breaths against Jay’s neck are soft and consistent, the only sign of life from Carlos aside from his occasional whines. He hadn’t spoken in a day, had only drank and ate when Jay demanded, hadn’t moved unless Jay moved him.
But the whining had become more frequent. Jay pulls Carlos closer to him, kisses the top of his head. There has to be an end in sight soon.
He hadn’t gotten the story of what was causing such an intense reaction. All Jay knew was that Carlos called him panicking, on the verge of a drop, and Jay had sprinted across the school yard to their dorm room, just in time to catch Carlos’ final words.
“Alpha, alpha, alpha...don’t...”
That had been yesterday morning. They hadn’t left the room since and only left the bed when necessary.
Jay shakes Carlos shoulder. “Hey, omega,” he whispers. “I’m here. Come back to me.” He rubs rough circles on Carlos’ back. Firm touches help bring omega out of drops, help them find their way back to where they are.
Carlos progresses from whining to whimpering, little noises that grow and grow.
“Good boy.” Jay stokes firmly down Carlos’ spine. “I’m here. We’re okay.” He presses down hard enough for Carlos to grunt at him. “Atta boy. Come on.” Jay pulls back to look at Carlos’ face. His eyes had been half-way closed since Jay had arrived, focused on nothing and unresponsive, but now they’re blinking slowly at him, registering him, and Jay gives him a brilliant smile to look at.
It’s late afternoon and the sun is low. The light that filters in through their curtains is a heavy blue. Jay had grabbed their weighted blanket, a gift made by Evie specifically for drops, because, from what Jay could decipher from her large science words, something about the pressure helps with anxiety. He had sent Dude to go be with Chad so that Jay wouldn’t be concerned with feeding and letting him out.
Carlos comes to slowly, bits at a time. He squirms and stretches, then shifts and mumbles and throws his body onto Jay’s. His words come in broken parts for a while longer before he can finally whisper, “I’m sorry, alpha.”
Jay pinches his side and Carlos jolts. “Don’t apologize.” He whispers back. The moment is tranquil, special, and Jay is almost worried that he will scare it away with too loud of a noise.
However, Carlos doesn’t seem to share his fear because he sits abruptly, straddling Jay, and sending their blankets sliding off his back to crumple on Jay’s legs. “What time is it?” He asks at a normal volume.
“Like seven.” Jay estimates by how dim their room has gotten. “Come back here.”
Carlos shakes his head, but follows when Jay pulls him down. “No more blankets.” He says when Jay reaches for their comforter. “I’m sweating.”
He may be up and talking, but Jay knows Carlos will not leave their bed until tomorrow morning. The after-effects of a drop aren’t as demanding, but it still takes Carlos time to feel completely like himself again, so Jay leaves the blankets where they are.
“I’m sorry again.” Carlos mumbles, sliding down to hide his face in Jay’s neck. “Don’t even think about it.” He snaps and grabs Jay’s wrists before he can pinch him again.
“Tell me what happened.” Jay pulls his hands out of Carlos’ grasp and rests them on his back. “That was scary, man.”
“Sorry, man.” Carlos nudges his chin.
“Tell me, omega.”
Carlos chirps at his title and nuzzles deeper into Jay’s chest. He brings his arms up to cling to his shoulders.
“Being cute and cuddly won’t get you out of answering.”
“You think I’m cute?”
“Omega.”
Carlos shivers this time and Jay knows all of his distraction techniques, but damn if he doesn’t shiver right back. Carlos knows all of his weak spots.
“It’s in the trash.” Carlos finally mumbles after a long silence.
Jay raises an eyebrow, not that Carlos can see. The trash is on the other side of his nightstand. He has to squirm and stretch to move across the bed, reach over the nightstand, and haul the waste basket closer, all while balancing Carlos on his chest.
Carlos doesn’t raises his head as Jay begins to sort through.
There’s candy wrappers inside, used tissues, a homework assignment Jay didn’t want to do, but his fingers seek out a paper ball, tightly crumpled and heavy in his grasp.
Jay slowly pulls it apart above Carlos’ back, smoothing it out and holding it close to read in the dark room.
...left me to rot...
...ungrateful bastard spawn...
...should have turned you out...
...too easy on you...
...when I get off this island...
“Oh, omega.” Jay sighs and wraps his arms around Carlos. He can feel the tremors in Carlos’ back, the heave of his breathing, the weight of his terror. “It’s okay, she’s not here.”
Carlos makes a fretful noise between a growl and a purr, trying to soothe himself and scare away the monster that’s not here.
Jay crumples the letter back up and tosses it in the trash again, hoping it’ll make it’s way back to the Isle, back to Cruella, where she can see she doesn’t get to have an impact on their lives here, she doesn’t get to stay here, haunting Carlos.
“I’m sorry.” Carlos sniffles against Jay’s throat.
“What have I told you about saying that?” Jay rolls them over so they lay side by side and he reaches for the heavy blankets, pulling them up despite the heat to cover them. “She can’t get you.”
“I know.”
“I would never let her.”
“I know.”
“Turn over.”
Carlos obeys, turning away until his back is pressed to Jay’s chest.
“I’ve got you.” Jay promises.
Despite the several hours they’ve spent in bed, with the curtains drawn shut and the soft blankets and the safety of their room, Jay just wants to rest. His omega is okay, out of his drop, and Jay can feel the relief finally settling in his mind.
They’ll get up to eat in a few hours, then shower in the middle of the night, and watch a movie before the sun rises. But for now, Jay curls around Carlos, kisses his hair, and closes his eyes.

Blahhh, I struggle with endings all the damn time.
Anywho, now that my externship is done, I have more time to write and I’m trying to clear out my inbox and get back in the habit of writing these characters!
Heheh, one of my favorite sillies :3
Little speed draw thing under the cut!
Had to draw these two cuties <3
I need more Hardie content 🥲
I'm planning on making Court of Darkness characters in Tomodachi life, who do I do first? >.>
I wanna do any of the main cast first (princes, valets, girlies, headmaster or MC)
I can send lil pictures of everyone when they're done, I might make a separate island connected to the mainland for them all too- Just for the sillies :3
