Not my usual post but I’ve been thinking a lot lately about
Rusty with an artist partner who sells at markets.
(I’d imagine this would have to be someone who doesn’t know about his criminal activities bc I doubt he’d let someone who knows the truth have this much freedom)
Making him drive you and your supplies across the country cus his truck is perfect for it. He doesn’t actually mind and even enjoys the travel w you when he has the time, but he lets you say you “dragged him along”.
Is great at handling paintings and sculptures. Knows exactly how to wrap em so they don’t get damaged during the trip.
Based on his home decor, I doubt he has an interest in interior design nor does he know much about how to set up tables in a way to attract customers. However, he’s really observant and after attending a few markets, he gets a really good idea of which vendors’ designs attract the most people.
Rusty awkwardly sitting at the booth when you leave for drinks or the bathroom cus he doesn’t know the first thing about fan art and the difference between realism and semi realism (or whatever kinda art you make). He doesn’t necessarily avoid taking over the table while you’re gone but rather doesn’t wanna fuck up your business by saying the wrong thing.
He genuinely enjoys the time spent with you but he’s definitely outta his depth and lets you do all the talking w customers.
Will happily handle the cash for you and is great at math! He struggles with apple pay and venmo or cashapp so if you’re having connection or technical issues you’re on your own.
He might wander the artist hall to see if there’s anything you might like. Might even pick up something for himself if it’s an oddity event. I think he’d be most interested in metalwork, taxidermy, and antique equipment.
Tbh i don’t think he’d care about getting a cut of the profits for helping out. He’s just here cus he wants to spend time with you.
