With this simple concentrate, you can make a smooth and tasty cold brew coffee. This drink is great for hot summer days or when you need a quick caffeine boost.
Ingredients: 1 cup coarsely ground coffee beans. 4 cups cold water.
Instructions: Add the coarsely ground coffee beans to your French Press Cafetiere. Pour the cold water over the coffee grounds, ensuring they are fully saturated. Stir the mixture gently to ensure even saturation. Place the lid on the French Press, but do not press down the plunger. Let the coffee steep at room temperature for 12-24 hours. You can adjust the steeping time to your taste preferences, but a longer steeping time will result in a stronger concentrate. After steeping, slowly press down the plunger to separate the coffee grounds from the liquid. Transfer the cold-brew concentrate to a clean container, like a glass jar, and store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. To serve, dilute the concentrate with cold water or milk, and sweeten to taste. Start with a 1:1 ratio of concentrate to water/milk and adjust to your liking.
