Imagine Barry, on his birthday, after he has a fancy dinner with Len and they've been dating awhile, he asks Len to take him somewhere. That somewhere turns out to be a graveyard. Barry wanted to introduce Len to his parents.
It's their first celebration together and even though Len doesn't do celebrations, Barry does. And of course Barry's birthday is their "first". Worried that Iris might be able to steal his Scarlet back, Len goes over board. First he buys out all of the flowers shops in a 20 mile radius (keeping the receipts to prove he didn't steal anything), covering Barry's office and hallway with said flowers. Second he threatens the criminal world to not even dare to breathe wrong. He then buys all of Barry's food or cooks them. (Len won't admit Joe's lasagna beat him or that he broke into the West household to steal said recipe). Finally Len ends the night with Barry's favorite snacks and movies.
By the end of the day Barry just wanted his charming supervillain back. So he convinces Mick to pull a heist causing Captain Cold to follow through on his threat.
After a thrilling game of cat-and-mouse Barry kiss Len sweetly ensuring the thief didn't have to try so hard. Len has Barry and he wasn't going anywhere.... Barry also could wait for their next celebration and thinking of what crazy things Len will do next!

Summary:
Len stumbles upon The Flash in serious trouble against thugs with meta tech and rushes to his aid, leading to an unexpected presence in his bed that night and the start of something new.
Which is wonderful until Valentine's Day two weeks later, when Len has no idea how to keep from screwing things up for their date that night, especially since they haven't had sex yet.
Team Flash to the rescue, whether Len likes it or not.
For @moe-riverside for the @coldflashweeks ColdFlash Valentine's Day Exchange. I hope you enjoy how the mix of prompts turned out. ^_^
This is written for the Coldflash Valentine's Event hosted by @coldflashweeks this is part one of three where each day I will continue the fic
When Barry Allen gets out of bed that morning he barely notices the red roses sitting on his dresser drawer. He nearly dismissed them, his mind too far gone on the fact that he had to work on Valentine's day while most of his friends had the day off and we're enjoying time with their significant others. And while he had to work, it's not like he had a partner of his own to enjoy the day with. His boyfriend was off galavanting through out time and space and Barry hadn't heard from him in months.
Not that he was worried. He knew what Len was busy and the first chance that he could get, he would call Barry as soon as he could.
But Barry had seen the flowers and the note attached to the stem of one of them.
No matter where I am in the time stream, I'm not missing yet another Valentine's day with you Barry. This is my promise to you. Enjoy these flowers. There's so much more in store for you today -- CC
The note sent a shiver up his spine. Len hadn't forgotten him. Of course not, he was a lot of things but forgetting something like this wasn't one of them, even more he was a man of his word (Now anyway) and if he promised that he would be here for Valentine's day then he would be around for Valentine's day.
Barry just had to be patient.
And that, was something that Barry really wasn't.

“Do you see what Oliver sent me!” Iris practically barges into Barry's office. It's been only an hour since he came into work and he's already miserable. Everyone is celebrating, showing their gifts and whatever else to the other officers. Barry sits at his desk, Len's flowers shining brightly on his desk yet not really standing out among everything else in the precinct. She's holding a giant teddy bear along with a box of chocolate in her hand. Barry smiles, doesn't let the small amount of jealousy that he's harboring show. He can't really be jealous, Len is busy saving the world. The flowers were enough and whatever else he had planned can wait until he can find time to get back to Central City.
He would have to wait.
“It's cute Iris.”
She hugs it closer. “Right? He's such a softie sometimes I love him. How about you? What did Captain Cold get for you?”
Barry shows her the flowers. “And a note. He's coming soon, I don't know when but he is. He's planning something for me and I just have to be patient. Iris I don't think that I can. I'm antsy just waiting here for him to show up.”
Iris smiles. “This is actually kind of sweet! The thrill of waiting to see what your boyfriend will bring you, when he'll show up! Barry this is the ultimate Valentine's day thrill!”

“I come here to remember all the times you betrayed me,” said Barry, refusing to look him in the eyes. “All the times you let me down.”
“You used to be a much better liar,” said Len. “You come here to remember me. Don’t deny it.”
This year, Barry Allen's Valentine is a memory he can't seem to let go of.
Let you reign as speedy boi for another blessed year
Since it hasn’t been long since Valentines Day and you’re probably all ‘evented’ out we thought we’d just do something small for today, an intimate birthday celebration, if you will.
So we’re just gona ask a question and if anyone out there has an answer or fanfic, fanart or moodboard, headcanon or depraved thought you’d like to share, then either mention @coldflashweeks in your post, send in an ask or submission!
