🌷don't forget to give him one too though
Oh, Jonathan Joestar, there are so many ways to express love, and I cannot bring myself to show even a single one.
Or so went the thought she had convinced herself of for so very long. Yet, as of late, Issahbella has begun to feel the strain of her fragility, the things that make her human, the weight of all of her hundreds of years tugging off the guise she kept so carefully in place away.
Perhaps this is what drives her to go back on her silent oath to herself. Perhaps this is the reason she approaches the towering vampire, taking his much larger hands in her own, smaller ones. For a long time, she is quiet, staring at the toes of her boots, despite his soft questions.Miss Bella, is something wrong? Why do you look so mournful?
He is too kind for someone like her. He is too kind for anyone. Jonathan is a blessing to the world. Does he know that?
Finally her head tips back, violet meeting ruby and the grip on his hands tightens into a squeeze before she lets go. Normally, her height is so diminutive compared to his, she would never be able to reach his face without him leaning down, so instead, her spirits lift her, floating her off the ground so that she is eye level with the vampire.
Expression somewhere between loving and melancholy, a sort of bittersweetness, she reaches out, placing her hands on his face, cupping his jaw.
“I’ve always wanted to tell you...that you are incredibly dear to my heart. I adore you, Jonathan.”
Issah sees his confused expression shift, but she does not give him time to respond, leaning in and pressing a long kiss against his mouth, silencing any words he might’ve said. Her own body is tense with hesitation, but there is no longer any reason to be afraid, and so she gives in, pouring all the pent up feeling into one, simple, still quite chaste kiss. The deeply buried love she held for his man is meant to be made plain by the tilt of her head, deepening her kiss, small fingers running through his hair.
And then she pulls away, breathless, and in the rushed intake of air, she murmurs,
“I love you. Please, never forget that someone cares. You are never alone-- unless that is what you want.”
Feet setting back down onto the ground, Issah turns on her heel and walks away.
She doesn’t want to hear him say he can’t return it.
