Seriously, Tana and Gavriel’s dynamic.... I’m in fucking love with it. I mean he’s this big bad Spider, king of the vampires, thorn of Istra and Tana fucking saves him and ruins his plan to get captured and he just goes with her because it’s so intriguing to him that someone would save him and sure he can postpone his revenge for a day or two to take a road trip with two teenagers. And he’s so gleeful as he approaches Coldtown and then he’s like okay, bye imma go take out my old bestie king of Coldtown see ya later ✌🏻 maybe. And then Tana has a hell of a week just being so extra survivalist, NO ONE is that badass and kills 2 vampires and breaks Valentina out of the dungeon and whatever and Gavriel is just like sitting in the dungeon watching it all go down with his arms crossed like so amused like that’s my baby and I’m real proud. And then she’s like oh! Gotta save Gavriel from betrayal again and take out Lucien with a crossbow/stake right as Gavriel’s plan to reveal that the spider isn’t coming to get him, he already killed the spider and is the spider and he’s just been fucking with Lucien the whole time like Lucien has been doing his entire vampire life is about to come to fruition and get ultimate revenge Tana kills Lucien and honestly she’s like he’s probably sooooo mad at me for stealing his revenge he’s been planning for a decade and NO Gavriel’s all like stunned and never been more attracted to anyone in his life. I love them. And I’m going to need about 400 more pages please! I know this was released in 2013, but I refuse to give up hope! I refuse I refuse I refuse. Please Holly!!!!
