It's kind of sad to me that the wild force rangers cut Cole's hair off in the pilot. Even though we know that he wasn't originally from there, the indigenous tribe that we see in the pilot still raised him and were his community (his family!) for his whole life up until his adulthood; thus he would have grown up understanding their values and practices as his own. The show's pretty vague about who the tribe actually are (it's vague about a lot of things), though, it is known that in a lot of irl indigenous cultures, hair is pretty important to a person's identity. Hence why many indigenous children in Canada and the United States had their long hair cut off when they were sent to the residential schools.

I am not saying that the wild force team was necessarily evil for what they did nor am I comparing them to 19th century colonizers - it was just an example to highlight the significance of the act of cutting hair. It just makes me sad that they do this to Cole, apparently without his consent, in order to make him suitable for red ranger leadership. Like, cmon, just find a shampoo product that works for him and leave his luscious locks alone.

What was to stop us from having another long-haired red ranger? We had Andros and his hair was cool as fuck.

Power rangers: forever red wedgie epilogue

Tommy sat down catching up with Aurico the Red aquatar ranger while the other rangers from their battle with the remnants of the machine empire lit off into different groups.

Jason had taken the new kid Cole for some hazing. Leo and Carter had wandered off to hook up. TJ and Andros were in their old rooms in the mega ship reliving their days together.

Jason demanded of the youngest present Red ranger to which Cole hesitantly obliged and for his troubles wound up with the waistband of his underwear under his chin and his pants forcibly removed and pushed into the main area of the ship for the other red rangers to find.

TJ and Andros:

“you still seriously haven't taken the advice Carlos and I gave you so many times and just tried boxers yet have you andros"?

TJ directly asked his friend and once leader

“why would I a part of me has grown to enjoy the sensation of you and Carlos pulling on my briefs"

Andros told him they were doing their routine boxer check where TJ checked to see if Andrews had finally switched and if he hadn't TJ would give him a wedgie.

Carter told the other ranger making a grab for the protector of miranois boxers but Leo got to him first grabbing the back of his tighty whities and pulling up before opening the door to start heading to the deck of the ship. When they got there he was surprised to see three other Red rangers one hanging from the deck and nothing but his tighty whities one with his tighty whities pulled over his head and the last comfortably sitting on the chair near the center of the deck. Say nothing Leo gave the front of Carter's briefs a pull. This earned a chuckle from TJ while Andros rolled his eyes and coal muttered something nobody can make out through the atomic wedgie.

“so what position should I put Carter in? Ee were going to hook up then I saw his tighty whities and wanted to have some fun "

Leo asked TJ while also explaining why they were in there in their current predicament

“I only dragged Andros out here Jason put the kid in that wedgie but let him just sit down in like a chair wedgie or something. "

TJ suggested Leo ran with that explanation and placed Carter in the chair next to where he was going to sit placing the back of the briefs on the top back rest of the chair putting an annoyed Carter in a chair wedgie.

“so are we just going to wait for the other five rangers to come out and see the humiliation? "

Leo asked TJ.

“we could but you're just wearing boxers so you're going to be pretty humiliated as well you might want to put on some actual clothes here's andross's plants”

TJ said while handing Leo andros's usual gray sweatpants.

Wes asked with a bit of annoyance but put his hands up against the wall to let Eric pull on his briefs. Eric did exactly that leaving a white beaver tail for the red Time Force ranger to leave the room with which they did quickly

“don't fix that it's like when we're with the silver guardians people need to know I'm the boss of you"

Eric's somewhat threateningly told his partner as they made their way to the deck to witness the scene of three red rangers humiliated with a fully clothed unscathed TJ and a shirt less somewhat flushed leo

“I guess that makes four red ranger nerds. "

TJ said observing West's beavertail.

“yeah I guess so but we have two guys stripped down to their tighty whities in embarrassed situations here the kid is walking around in an atomic wedgie and something happened with him since he doesn't have a shirt You're the only one unscathed. "

Eric observed

“we don't know where Jason Tommy and Aurico are so there could be more of that. "

TJ pointed out as they heard the decks doors open again.

Final:

The deck doors opened to reveal Jason Tommy and Aurico while Jason chuckled at the wedgie devastation of the four humiliated Red rangers. Tommy gave him a sideeye and Aurico didn't know what to make of the situation.

“what's going on here?"

Tommy asked the tow unscathed and shirtless ranger.

“well I gave the new kid that atomic the others I don't know. "

Jason told him matter of factly Carter gave the rest of the explanation as to what had been going on and when Cole was freed from his autonomic the stripped down red rangers were let to go get dressed properly so everyone could go home.
