I hope that you are having a happy holiday season! And I also hope that you enjoy this gift I made for you! I also made a little drabble to accompany this picture (below the cut). It was the first thing that came to my head after finishing this and I couldn’t resist writing it out (I’m specifically referring to the ‘bad’ pun, haha).

“Hey, Lauren! Do you want some?” smiled Kay, holding out a lollipop to her newest friend. “I got it from my Uncle Badd!”

Lauren recoiled from the treat being offered to her. “But Father said not to take candy from bad people...”

Her voice grew muffled as she buried her face in her father’s hair. He chuckled, shifting Lauren’s weight on his shoulders, and then grinned sheepishly at the man walking beside him. He watched as Kay sat and swayed to-and-fro on the man’s shoulders, as she cackled at Lauren’s response.

“He’s not bad! He’s Badd! Oh, but he does have a gun...”

Lauren squealed in fright, clutching her hands even tighter around her father’s neck. He let loose another chuckle, although slightly more strained, and another sheepish grin to the man beside him.

“Sorry, Byrne,” he said. “Lauren’s a shy girl, and she’s not used to making such... interesting friends.”

“No need to say sorry, Colin!” said Byrne, “Kay’s definitely a force to be reckoned with. Aren’t you, Kay?”

“Yeah!”

As the two men continued to walk down the beach, waves lapping at their feet, and the girls babbling away on their shoulders, Byrne Faraday was lost in thought. He wondered, that maybe he didn’t need to keep his guard up around this Colin Devorae. After all, he didn’t seem to know much about the smuggling ring. And besides, Kay needed some more friends her own age...
