some art i did for either @/collaberonpa promo art, or a zine! they were loads of fun and i made them all awhile ago. expect more after they’ve been posted! anyways i <3 drawing these characters as will soon be obvious.
junko art is for a pride collage promo art. i, personally, see her as pansexual, lithoromantic, and asexual. her tattoos were loads of fun!! the background was difficult but i thought a despair pride parade would be fun.
second picture was for a beach episode promo piece! i referred to the three of them as the “short blonde club” and i wanted it to be known that they’re discussing their relationships. also the haha funny of fuyu and hiyoko’s towels being pride themed and chihiro’s is just coding. i adore them.
third picture is for a zine ran by @/collaberonpa ! it was, pretty much, danganronpa characters with food based outfits and themes! i drew sonia with a gugelhupf cake because it was one of her favorite gifts and looked fun to draw <3
Hey y'all! I've gotten a few questions since announcing Face the Music, so I decided to make the (drumroll please)....
Face the Music FAQ!
What is Collaberonpa?: Collaberonpa is a discord server that hosts Danganronpa themed collaborations for artists of all varieties! (Yes, this includes you, writers and edit makers!) This is a great place for brainstorming ideas, getting critiques if you want them, and having a way to get some more eyes on your art!
What is Face The Music?: Face The Music is one of said collabs! The prompt for Face the Music is connecting characters to song. How you interpret that prompt is entirely up to you!
So… is this like… a zine?: Well, it is like a zine, but it’s not a zine. Like a zine, each member makes their own individual piece under one singular theme. Unlike a zine (or, at lease, the modern idea of the zine), there’s a lot less structure, not so many rules. Face the Music has no set time limit on when pieces can be completed and allows for repeats, ships, headcanons, etc.
What if I work better under a deadline?: Well, there’s sort of an… optional deadline? There is going to be a playlist of all of the songs used, and that will be released on January First. Some members are also planning on posting their piece on that day to coincide with it, so that can be your “deadline” if that’s how you prefer to work. Still, it’s totally okay if you want to post it after that point!
Do I have to be in the server to join?: Nope! Just use the hashtag #FacetheMusicdr
Surely there must be SOME rules: Yes, there are! This is a SFW event, this event is NOT OPEN TO PROSHIPS, and this event asks that participants respect transfem Chihiro and that they do not whitewash characters. There are also general server rules in place if you choose to join it that you will find in the ‘rules’ tab.
How do I join this alleged server?: DM me and I’ll send you the link! I’m currently the only mod, so I’m doing this through dms to avoid an influx of people all at once. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Will all the future collabs be like this one?: Some of them will! This is an open collab. There will also be closed collabs that might be more specific, may only involve members of Collaberonpa, and/or have a set deadline.
