Swim #24 - Gréve De Lecq Air temp: 20.9C Sea temp: 17.1C Not a fun day for swimming and I almost didn’t go. The weather forecast has been horrible, it’s been raining all afternoon and was dull and grey this morning. The sun was trying to shine through and it didn’t feel too cold so I pushed myself to go and swim at Gréve de Lecq today. This is another great family beach, there are two cafes, two pubs and a kiosk, toilets and lifeguards. You can surf, SUP, swim or coasteer and the beach is sandy with enough rocks to keep it interesting. There is a secret beach accessible by climbing around the rocks or down over the cliffs and a small harbour. It’s not a big bay at all but has always been a firm favourite and it’s somewhere I bring visiting friends and family. Mostly because the breakfast at #colleens is one of the best on the island. Water was pretty warm and there were some fairly big waves, the tide was almost up to the sea wall but there were lots of other people around so I didn’t hesitate to get in. Loved it again - sea swimming just always makes me feel so good! After that a bacon roll and a coffee from Colleen’s seemed justified, then home for a hot shower! . . . . . #30baysin30daysjersey #30baysin30days #jersey #jerseyci #jerseychannelislands #grevedelecq #stmary #stouen #abayintwoparishes #waves #seaswimming #sandytoes #saltyhair #personalchallenge #jerseyhospicecare #nationaltrustforjersey #islandlife #beachlife #familybeach #lovewhereyoulive #instabeach #beachesofinstagram #beachesofinsta #visitjersey #theislandbreak #vibrantjersey (at Grève de Lecq) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDEuV1cDHwK/?igshid=1xr6xhhyurxfo
