Three Day Break From College = Three Days of FREEDOM! 🙌✨

Hey y'all! So I don't have college Monday through Wednesday this week which means I'm FREE for three whole days!! No dealing with my two traditional art classes, no art history where I suck at "analyzing" art, no English class - just pure freedom! 😭💜

But of course, family drama never takes a break lmao. So get this - the other day my dad randomly told me, my grandma, and my stepmom to get into a GROUP HUG. I was so confused and everyone was leaning forward while I'm trying to lean back like ??? Then out of NOWHERE my stepmom just starts SOBBING and my dad reveals this was supposed to be some kind of "therapeutic hug" to help her process grief from her grandma dying a year ago??

Like sir, maybe WARN people before you spring surprise therapy sessions on them?? I'm standing there cringing internally while my dad and grandma are comforting her, just wishing she'd go cry in the bedroom instead of right in front of me. I know that probably sounds mean but considering how she's treated me... yeah, I'm not feeling super sympathetic 🙃

The weird part is she's been randomly talking to me sometimes now?? Like she'll answer questions I ask my grandma, or when I accidentally bit my lip too hard and was bleeding, she actually asked if I was okay! Then I had to run to the bathroom to hide the bloody paper towel before my grandma could freak out about it lmao

Oh and my grandma watches Ukraine/Russia war news EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. saying she "has the right to know what's happening at all times" but honestly I think watching that much depressing news can't be good for anyone's mental health? Plus I'm never sure if what she's watching is even accurate or just exaggerated for drama

Anyway, family weirdness aside, I'm just happy to have three days without college stress! 🎉

Sandrock, day 1 of summer, first year

I was finally able to buy a tablet to draw!!! And the difference is huge compared to the cell phone! I changed my color palette and some brushes. Triccina is back!

Today, I'm now officially done and caught up with the college semester. All my assignments are done and turned in, so I'm now on my winter holiday break! 😁
