Collemopsis schaereri (syn. Psorotichia schaereri)
Schaerer's jelly scale lichen
This crustose cyanolichen grows in granular, black, tile-like chunks 0.25-1 mm wide and up to 0.25 mm tall. It produces dark-red apothecia with concave to flat disks and smooth or granular thalline margins and separated by thin proper margins. C. schaereri grows in the seepage tracks of large rocks, as well as on pebbles and mortar walls, preferring mossy, sunny habitats at low to middling elevations.
