Aiden
Aiden has had a...tough life, to say the least. Experimented on as a child, with no memory of his life before, and even those memories of the experiments muddled around in his brain. But at least he had his sister, Mia. Then when everything went to shit, he was seperated from her, and after that he spent the next 15 years searching for her. But you already know this. This hasn't changed.
Eventually, his travels brought him to Villedor, the last of the Walled Cities. On his way in, he was bitten by a volatile, but managed to get away. However, he quite clearly began to turn, and eventually he found his way into the Bazaar. Once they realized he was turning, they tried to hang him, but a man named Hakon cut him down, rescuing him from the lynch mob.
Upon realizing he doesn't have a Biomarker, Hakon took him to the old hospital, and while that happens he teaches him how to survive in Villedor. When they encounter a group of PKs helping survivors in the streets, he tells Aiden to show them some respect, as they were one of the only reasons this city was still standing.
After getting his Biomarker, Aiden gets seriously injured, so Hakon takes him to the Central Loop, where the Medical Hospital is located. He was taken to their version of the ER, since Aiden was losing a lot of blood. When they got him on the table, he passed out.
When he came to, the Doctor who treated him was sitting across the room from him. Aiden immediately recognized the man as Waltz, the person responsible for his childhood trauma. He tried to get out of bed and kill him, but he wasn't well enough to stand yet, so he just fell on the ground. Waltz put him back in the bed, and upon realizing it was Aiden, he sat right back down and made an agreement.
The agreement was as follows: Waltz had until Aiden was fully recovered to try and convince Aiden not to kill him. In that time, Aiden could ask any question he wanted. And Waltz would stay in that room until Aiden was ready.
Naturally, the first question Aiden asked was about Mia. Waltz looked like he was about to cry and told him that was for another time. So basically over the next few days they talked (in a more drawn-out and more civil version of the conversation they have in X-13 when Aiden realises he's been living a lie), and when it was revealed that Mia was...no longer with them, Aiden basically had an emotional breakdown. Not only had he been living a lie, but he had also living a lie for no reason.
Aiden, instead of leaving the city upon realizing there was nothing left for him here, decides to stay and help those he can. So he runs around doing missions for people, supply runs, etc.
Everywhere he goes, he hears about a man named Mad Jack. He recognised that name, but he couldn't think of why. And then it clicked. He'd seen it sprayed everywhere in the metro tunnels, and that weird old ship that sat at the edge of the Central Loop had "Property of Mad Jack" painted on the side of it, even if it was worn from age.
Next up...Mad Jack.
