On march 23th, 1994, Selena was filming scenes for ‘Dos Mujeres Un Camino’ telenovela in Monterrey, Mexico, that very night Luis Donaldo Colosio, a candidate for the presidency of Mexico, was murdered, this had a huge impact in the country, literally Mexico was paralyzed in shock, the staff decided to stop the production to hear the story and paid respects with a minute of silence, Selena shared this moment with all, the next day she said to her friend that she heard that Luis Donaldo was a great man, and she felt sorry for what had happened, sadly a year later, near the same date, she was murdered also for a gunshot, and it was a huge impact as well in mexican society 🖤

23 de Marzo de 1994. El candidato a la Presidencia Luis Donaldo Colosio es asesinado en Lomas Taurinas, Tijuana. La figura del asesino solitario no convence a muchos. Un cuarto de siglo después cuesta trabajo aceptar que no haya sido una conspiración del narcotráfico o, peor aún, un crimen de Estado. Todos recordamos donde nos encontrábamos cuando escuchamos la noticia y seguiremos con la duda de que hubiera sucedido si ese hombre que veía a un México con sed de justicia hubiera llegado a la Presidencia.  Comparto mi participación en el programa zona publica.
