After a Difficult Birth...

Sara hemorrhaged during delivery. The Ob/Gyn team managed to stem the bleeding after frantic efforts, but she lapsed into a coma and was transferred to the ICU, requiring ongoing blood transfusions. It would be four days before Sara's eyes fluttered open and she was able to hold her newborn.
