I found the nasty dog series and my mind went OFF
Three ideas I'm just gonna drop and bolt
1: Siamese!Reader, poor fella is a ball of stress after being separated from their owner. A friend of mine had one, he could not leave for work without the bundle of anxiety meowing his ears off.
2: Maine Coon!Reader with Mydei as an older sibling. Mydei just shows up on the farm one day because his Older Brother Instincts TM activated and he refuses to leave without at least challenging all three of the phailings to a duel.
3. A Rescue!Reader. The whole situation makes them go back to their street cat days and they've managed to find a little burrow to hide in. Thunderstorms are the bane of their existence, any hiding place outside becomes a prison when the noise starts.
