🌊 What’s the hardest thing for you to draw? 🎼 Your favorite music to draw to right now?
I'm doing alright, very tired from logging longer hours across the board at work, but at the very least it has turned me into more of a morning person... being that I have to get up at 5am most days now lol
Also, hope you're well <3
Now onto the asks:
What's the hardest thing for you to draw?
The cop out answer is hands, they're difficult, but I've learned a few tricks to make it a bit easier on myself.
The actual answer, though, is full body sketches, especially when two or more bodies are involved, because keeping things proportionate and nailing down perspective can be difficult, and makes you have to think really, really hard about each dimension of a person/character's body and their clothes, and all of that jazz.
Basically, if I do something in my more realistic style, like this;
It takes a significantly longer time to conceptualize, draft, and complete, although if I have enough brain rot at the time, I can do a lot more in less time.
However, the idea that the more intricate drawings take longer is also kind of a misnomer, because even when I draw in my doodle style, something simple like this;
Could take me a while to nail down simply because my energy levels are that low, or a small detail is slightly out of place.
And lastly; Your favorite music to draw to right now?
I've been bouncing between genres lately, so the range is anywhere from NSP to Hozier at home, but at work, when I doodle/do sketches for advertising/to pass time, it's usually whatever plays on the radio.
Lately we've been listening to a local station that plays hit songs from the 70's, 80's and 90's, so it's been a lot of rock/alt. rock, and I've found I can vibe to that a lot more easily than the old station... which kept playing that goddamned Italian restaurant song every freaking day for a fucking week straight-
...Although hearing Evanescence while staring into space thinking about how to draw a duck encouraging customers to throw out their own trash is...
It has lead to a significant amount of comedic moments for sure.
