Monthly Comic Breakdown! (April 2026)
End of the month, end of month breakdown! I'm starting this little post series to keep a record of all the stuff I'm reading month to month, track my progress, and to maybe help encourage other people to read comics!
Stats for the Month
93 is actually much more than I thought I'd read this month, which is nice. All that Amazing Spider-Man + Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man adds up apparently.
Well, I made that Legion of Comic Geeks account, and I spent the last little while plugging in as many facts as I could from my old reading list for Marvel comics in my notes app (and from the stuff I remembered reading). It's not fully accurate, because I had to input all the anthology books (like Tales of Suspense or Tales to Astonish or Strange Tales) as one book. And I also skipped inputting some of the horror books from 70s marvel, because I didn't want to revisit them and upset myself. And I also put all the pre claremont x-men comics, including the reprints. I just wanted the o5 in my top 20 characters. But here's all my stats for Marvel comics (from most read characters to most often read colourists):
Amazingly, this isn't inaccurate to some of my favourites. I don't think the comics list is accurate to my favourites, but we have a lot of my favourites in the character list. And it correctly knows my top three or four writers for Marvel! Stan Lee, Roy Thomas, Steve Gerber and Steve Englehart! Shame about Chris Claremont being in my most read authors, but I'll deal with it.
Oh, and now I have a whole bunch of letterers and colourists to look up. They're the unsung stars of comics, especially the colourists. I love when the colour enhances the art, and now I might get a change to learn about some of old and highly unsung the people in that field. Because colouring is amazingly vital to comics, at least in my opinion.
End of 2024 comics stats
Sorry but you are NOT seeing my most read titles because it's all new 52 bullshit not comics that I actually find good. Or my top writers. Because that is also an embarrassing list. I bet you guys can guess my #1 (it's easy if you know my infatuation with a certain 2003 comic) which is bad enough but also scott lobdell is WAY too high on there bc he wrote so much new 52 stuff. Next year I will try to read good comics rather than bottom of the barrel new 52 stuff. It just draws me in like a magnet and I cannot escape...
(Greenunless post 💚) Who knew that when you update yr comic….people read your comic 🥹
Literally so crazy that almost 30 people are subscribed to it….could cry and sob….thanks for reading!!!
THANK YOU FOR 98 SUBSCRIBERS FOR SWEET SIN! @boss-saarebas, my co-writer, without which the comic wouldn’t even exist. I’m absolutely amazed with the positive feedback our original comic is getting. (:D esp. the two 5 star ratings!) I want to thank everyone for their support! It means so much! THANK YOU FOR 249 SUBSCRIBERS FOR A BLAZE IN HELLSING! I’m absolutely FLOORED! I expected ABIH to have more views for this one because it’s a fan comic but this number is absolutely astounding! Thank you all!!
