i know these films arent meant to be taken seriously but what the fuck is a RAGE kong 😭 these acronyms suck ass and i thought my mech oc was on the nose being called KYTHERA .. does RAGE kong mean that hes taking the bully role that godzillas been shafted in since gvk?? also im almost certain suko is gonna get kidnapped by space godzilla or some shit, im not sure why suko is coming back besides “le cute ape!!1!1!” as opposed to mothra who wouldnt sit out a threat to the world.. be ready for the supernova novel to casually say mothra died offscreen

I found this little thing at my local Barnes and Nobles today! I’m already 198 pages in so expect a review tonight!

everytime i dip my toes back into marvel (which is often even if i try my best to distance myself from marvel because of how exhausting the fanbase is) i remember how badly they botched black widow and get sad 💔 comic book natasha has such an interesting story just for her to be more of an oversexualized driving force, the more i think abt it, the more shes not even an adaption of natasha, moreso janet van dyne wearing natashas face. its such a bummer because mcu natasha being so botched reflects into the little bit of her supporting cast that actually received mcu adaptations such as yelena who is NOTHING like her interesting comic counterpart, alexei (THE CHILD TRAFFICKER!) who got turned into a hero for no reason, anya who only got reduced to being a name easter egg, her relationship w bucky is nowhere to be found because the mcu couldn’t be bothered to give her her rightful serum that actually earns her the title of the worlds best assassin (in the mcu shes way more of a spy) the more i think abt it, the more i realize mcu bucky got a lot of comic natashas traits but another reason why they couldn’t adapt her relationship with bucky was because joss wheadon had to have seen that one gif or had a fetish to give him the idea to shoehorn natasha into a relationship with bruce under the guise that they ‘understood’ eachother because they were both former killers.. huh?? not only does natasha have a great relationship w bucky in the comics that even stan lee himself wanted to see on screen, but bruce has a great relationship with betty ross and i’d go as far as to calling betty bruce’s lois lane or his mary jane! i hope that after secret wars natasha gets a recast like how tony and steve are, but i doubt it bc the mcu hates to see women succeed and i doubt general audiences could handle a comic accurate natasha LMAO and dont think for one second im one of those nat stans who thought it should’ve been clint, i think it shouldn’t have been them to go to vormir in the first place because even if the mcu botched all 6 of the og avengers, clint and natasha were the least developed.. anyway thats my not so mini rant, rest assured that godzilla is still my main fixation but man do i hate fanservice with all my heart

How can someone say that the way Godzilla acted in GvsK( and only in that case I could excuse since the whole awakening was a fresh wound) and GxK was the Same godzilla of 2014 and KOTM? HIM, THAT GUY??

Bitch, what about getting some fucking taste? A backbone? Some fucking imagination because I cant with people asking for the MV turning info Showa/heisei but with CGI and not letting it become its own UNIVERSE!!! Even the choice of SpaceG, I'm so fed up over this.

Man, if I have to hear “Do you just hate fun?” or “Turn off your brain to enjoy it!” or, god forbid: “Be glad you’re getting this much Godzilla content!” Everytime I dare to criticize the Wingard duloagy.. I feel like i’m being gaslight into enjoying a movie I didn’t like 💀 like, in that case, yes i’m the mayor of frown town and I PHYSICALLY CAN’T turn off my brain regarding a franchise starring a monster I enjoy so much.

Wingard gave his treatment of Godzilla zero thought and his fans constantly have to fill in the blanks by going: “The oxygen destroyer and/or Mechagodzilla pissed him off!” ..Right, because Godzilla has been around for centuries, lived through several extinction events and earned the title of being A GUARDIAN OF NATURE but they expect me to believe something 0.00000001% of humanity contributed to motivated him to destroy a bridge with people on it and drill a hole into the earth when in previous movies he avoided destruction as much as possible?.. Not to mention, these are HEADCANONS. All Wingard had to say for it was: “Hurr, durr, Godzilla’s ego was bruised..” WHAT EGO? He’s an ancient protector!

Spacegodzilla was such a stupid choice because the Monsterverse has the potential to be its own thing, and its infuriating to see that instead of creating good original kaiju, we get the likes Shimo and Skar King, who are about three steps away from being a recolored Godzilla and Kong respectively.. It’s not like Skar King will be remembered for anything besides being ridiculously cartoonishly evil despite being advertised as this ‘Titan-killing-worst-threat-of-them-all’ ..Not everything in the MV has to be a world-ending threat, but that’s a topic for another day. The MUTOS and unseen Titans in KOTM weren’t bad, but nothing is going to come of them because instead of being respectful to previous lore like Dougherty was with Edwards, Wingard ignored everything except for the Russell’s presence, but derailed them anyway.

The toxic positivity in Wingard fans is so aggravating because they’ll go: “What if Godzilla and Kong went to the moon? What if Kong wore a space suit?? It’ll piss off the KOTM glazers!!” ..We have lost the plot so badly 🫩 Mr. Peanutbutter levels of toxic positivity.. Making us look like Snyderbros for wanting a movie with a coherent plot. The MCU ultimately is to blame, but even if the MCU had flaws early on such as their treatment towards women characters and flanderization of characters, the MCU had a coherent story and didn’t jump like 50 years worth of technological advancements in the span of one 5 year timejump. The MCU caused the dumb humor (even if KOTM did have an unfunny STD joke, the next movie had a tidepod joke, and the movie after that had to mention discord..) and fans expecting every single Toho monster to be adapted instead of creating their own. But, instead of original monsters, we get another comic going back to Skull Island.
