I say that it's common knowledge that roses make rosehips, and that rosehips are a kind of berry (or at least a fruit). My partner says that's not common knowledge. Please reblog for a larger sample size, and you know, hopefully to reach people who have a more normal level of plant knowledge.

Sometimes I'm afraid that I'll be having a conversation with somebody, and I'll accidentally mention something horrible that they haven't been as desensitized to as I have. Like, there are plenty of Horrors that I've either experienced in real life or seen in various media enough that I think other people have also been overexposed to them, but the older I get, the more I realize just how uncommon true "common" knowledge and experiences are.
