wait a second and hear me out

being given something that belonged to one of my loved ones or even just an acquaintance, something they took care of and loved and worried over losing

and then they one day no longer have a use or a need for it, but instead of throwing it away (the easiest and the worst option), they take the time and care to find someone who will take care of it too, to love it and worry about losing it

my dad took the time to reset his old phone and think of what i'd need to do to transfer my phone number and then give his old phone to me, all bc i complain about the shitty phone i bought just to have a phone number and mobile device 🥹🥹

my brother is giving me his old laptop, because he worried about me not being able to play games with him in the future

aghhhh there's more examples but those are two most recent and i just love loving others and caring yk??

i forgot that i made this two semesters ago for a cross-cultural communications class and i thought it was cool enough to share!

it's supposed to be a culture collage - a collage of all of one's different cultures, communities, identities, ideals, interests, beliefs, hobbies, etc.

i added pride flags and little summaries of the beliefs & morals i hold, there's my indigenous tribe from my mother's side, tons of hobbies & interests of mine - i'm really proud of it!

i've discovered that there's one ingredient/pantry staple that always, without fail, gives me such childhood nostalgia of staying with my grandparents over the summer: that one thing being sliced potato bread

i love it usually as a plain baloney sandwich, but yesterday i discovered it creates the most beautiful grilled cheese 🥹😭

i'm just always immediately transported into sitting in my grandma's kitchen at like 12 years old, watching her cook me food to help with my eating disorder and telling her about a book i was reading in the library, and my papa making jokes from the living room and "resting his eyes" on the couch

makes me want to burst into sentimental tears

garden update!!!! 🌿🎉✨🌱🌷

look what my friend built for me!!!! it's a greenhouse box that i'm going to use for growing herbs and other food plants over the colder months!!! i'm planning on growing more basil & other herbs in here, and hopefully have this house my tomatillos, bell peppers, and tomatoes over the cold months!

hi!!! 👋 i understand the worry! back before i came out, i worried and agonized over the possibility that i wouldn't have community anymore and that there was nobody like me out there. however, i got out there to explore and meet new people thanks to the freedom of young adulthood, and the people i met encouraged me to be myself! after coming out, i found out that there's lots of us out there!

don't worry, you are known and you are loved and you are valid! we have a community, and though it may be hard to find your place, it'll happen if you can put in the effort to try!!!
