When the holidays get you down, it can help to know that other people are having a rough time, too. PattyCake helpfully compiled a selection of Christmas crashes, smashes, and shenanigans for the tormentor of Whoville and his lovely lady to enjoy. It's part classic variety show, part Funniest Home Videos, and entirely pun-tastic.

Trivia:
The Grinch's vocals were provided by Tony. He loves the character, and had donned the full costume for Layne's family Christmas video the previous year, but was content to let someone else handle that part for this project.
The character is brought to life by performer Daniel Gugel, with makeup by Rick Underwood, and hair pieces by Danielle Battaglia. Daniel posted a montage of his transformation and some other peeks behind the scenes a couple weeks before the video's release.
He had previously played Flynn Ryder in "10,000 Hours", Captain Hook in "Once Upon a Time: the musical", and the security guard in "Villains Haunted Mansion".
Erin co-wrote and performed in "Quarantine: the musical" in the summer of 2020. She was also one of the many featured performers in PattyCake's "La La Land" video, as Bette Davis.
Martha May Whovier is a character invented for the live-action Grinch adaptation. Her appearance and personality are partly based on Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, a movie which is particularly beloved by the PattyCake fellows. Since the movie's release in 2000, she has also been a major part of the Grinchmas stage show at Universal Studios theme parks.
Helaina is best known to PattyCake fans as Mother Gothel in The Villains Lair series. She has also portrayed Queen Narissa in the "Villains Haunted Mansion" video, the animated version of the Evil Queen in "Heartless", and Madame Morrible in "Everything I Never Said".
David pops up here and there as tertiary characters, including Percival McCleach in "It's Not Me, It's You", the priest in "Heartbreaker", and The Wizard in "Everything I Never Said".
Doris has been appearing in Dad and Uncle Tony's videos basically since birth. She was a baby on her mother's hip in "Beauty and the Bieber", the infant Aurora in "Michaeleficent", the shopping cart baby in "Into the Night", and the lawyer's daughter in "Quarantine".
Cyndi has also been involved with PattyCake since the beginning, with onscreen appearances in "Hocus Heathens", "Beauty and the Bieber", and "Into the Night", as well as providing frequent behind the scenes assistance.
Layne had donned both the distinctive Who nose and Max's antlers for VoicePlay's rendition of "You're a Mean One, Mister Grinch" two years earlier. He then played a slightly less elaborate version of The Grinch for their Mean Girls inspired "Jingle Bell Rock" video the following holiday season, which was also filmed on the PattyCake proscenium set.
The trees and gift decorations in this video also appeared in VoicePlay's "Christmas Don't Be Late" video and "Feliz Navidad" short earlier in the month.

Stepsisters react to Disney villain TikToks — PattyCake Productions music video
Continuing what was becoming a tradition, PattyCake returned to their reluctant Mother's Day song once more, this time without the adoptive mothers. "Tough Love" debuted as the second episode of The Villains Lair, then got remixed the next year while filming new material wasn't feasible. For this third iteration, Anastasia and Drizella do a bit of magic mirror channel hopping to find different interpretations from talented friends and fans of the channel.

Trivia:
○ Several of the featured guests are Layne and Tony's friends from the local theme park performance community and/or the a cappella world. A couple are also family.
Tim Foust sings bass with country a cappella group Home Free, who were on The Sing-Off season 4 and the ensuing 2014 tour with VoicePlay.
Gayle Stein is (of course) Layne's mom, and a piano teacher who has worked with many musicians in the Orlando area. She was also 4:2:Five / VoicePlay's unofficial den mother during their early days, since the boys would often rehearse at the Stein home and hang out there afterward.
Fletcher Wakim is a good boy who provides moral support behind the scenes at PattyCake. He has also appeared on-screen as Toto in "Will.of.Oz" and "La La Land", and with Tony during his dream sequence in VoicePlay's "White Christmas" video. He even accompanied the boys on the road for portions of their 2013 national tour and the 2015 Sing-Off tour.
Two-thirds of The American Sirens are also longtime PattyCake castmembers. Alejandra first portrayed Maleficent in VoicePlay's "Once Upon a Dream" video and continues in the role for PattyCake's Villains Lair series. Rachel embodied Dorothy Gale / Judy Garland in both "Will.of.Oz" and "La La Land", and has played Vanessa since "The Grande Mermaid".
Elizabeth Garozzo first met the guys when she was portraying Cinderella at Disney World, and also a member of the Voices of Liberty a cappella group. Her soaring vocals have been featured in VoicePlay's "Frozen 2 medley", "Just Sing", and "In the Hall of the Mountain King" projects.
And, of course, Leah Lowman Hoover has played Cinderella for PattyCake since "Cinderswift".
○ Cosplayer Aleya Richards (@TheDisneyBelle) later appeared as a background performer in "Life's Not Fair" during the second season of The Villains Lair.
○ As Layne and Tony noted in their outro, they offered a chance to win a Villains Lair prize pack of a poster signed by the cast and a "Tough Love" music box for fans who shared the video on social media. Because they happened to draw one of the featured performers the first time, they extended the giveaway and chose a second winner, as well.
