Question: what does a compression vest actually feel like?

Because whenever I read descriptions of them, they sound a lot like properly fitting corsets.

Reveal and post op

The day after surgery I had an appointment and went back in to get the dressings removed and make sure everything was fine. Tons of gauze! But, my chest is flat! (well minus the swelling), and the nipple placement is right. They squeezed out the drains and put foam on my chest and then the closed up the vest. This was the MOST painful part of the whole damn process. And at this point, I was already due for my pain meds, and there was traffic so it took longer to get home and by the time I got home, I was a couple hours over due and it hurt like hell. Went right to bed when I came home.

The next day was better, got up and walked around a bit. Took a shower to the best of my ability. My sister helped wash my hair and stuff. Went out to dinner. Slept in a bed that night instead of the recliner. The best thing ever was buying the hubby type pillow from yogibo. Keeps me upright to sit up and keeps me propped up a little to sleep.
