Commentary: In the East this feeling of love and devotion is called “bhakti,” and makes all the difference. Without bhakti, the repetition of a sacred name would be mechanical or a vain repetition. Done with a spirit of bhakti, a higher reality becomes your experience. The answer to the Prayer of the Name is God himself.
