Too often church conversations about justice force vulnerable persons into the role of defendant, treating their place in the church as a matter of debate.
Unfortunately, that's where conversations around non-monogamy are kicking off in the PCUSA — but it's not where we have to keep them. As we discuss non-monogamy within and beyond ordination, let's continuously recenter the conversation around lived experience and the Spirit's call to draw our circles wider.
