shoutout to fat nonbinary people
everyone say thank you to fat nonbinary people
gonna be honest i don’t know how many more ‘enter the 6 digit code we sent to your phone’s i got left in me
man half of my mutuals are named some shit like Snooble at this point im doing some poob as bullshit in my life
wbat the hell you weren't even exaggerating
does anyone have that one drawing of a greyhound from like the 1920s or whatever please please please i need it the one where it looks like a single piece of forlorn wire i need it
Is this your boy
abstract and modern art haters are sooo snobby like klein literally Created an entirely new pigment and then painted a canvas in a way where the brush strokes wouldn't be visible. the insinuation that people with no skill could reproduce that is so annoying because unless you are skilled at color mixing and painting you definitely couldn’t lmao
i hope it's okay to add this because i think it hits the nail directly on the head
Honestly, it's like picking up a book and saying "I know all these words, I can type, I could have written this" like there's no middle step between the technical ability and the finished work.
It's saying "I could write this exact book" while holding a copy of the book in your hand. Like yeah shit you could, it's substantially easier to copy words that are already there than to create something from nothing.
I had an "I could do that!" Moment once, and it honestly changed the direction of my life.
I had dropped out of college for the second time, was profoundly depressed, and not sure what I was going to do with my life. My mom took me to an exhibition of the Denver Botanical Gardens' Botanical Illustration program.
It was a color-pencil-on-acrylic drawing of a Witches Broom plant, and I remember suddenly realizing that wait. I know how to do that. I know how to make those marks, how to layer those colors. I could do this.
I could make something good enough to hang in a gallery.
-And that changed things for me. Yeah, actually, I wasn't a total failure, I COULD do that and in fact I think I will. I signed up for the program, got my accreditation as a scientific illustrator, and my fucking dignity back. I even got to take classes from the woman who drew that Witches Broom.
All this is to say: Actually, go in to galleries and see if there is something you think you could do.
Then go do it.
You might find out that the threshold to getting your work shown/published is entirely within your skill level, or (like me) it's something you will get to learn so much more about, or you will wander into a completely different art form but literally whatever happens your life will be richer for it.
Imagine how kickass if the lady in the original post decided to do what Klein actually said did, and we all got a brand new pigment and painting technique out of it. You think you can do that? Good! Go do it! It'll kick ass!!
Like yeah, we all know that there's a lot of people who are all talk, but I am here to encourage you all who ever looked at something and thought '...I actually think I can do this?' to GO FUCKING DO IT IT WILL BE SO FUCKING COOL!!!
THE FRENCH FUJOSHI: and you will put ze tips of your penise togezher, oui? and you will insert yourself into 'iz boyhole, oui?
i dont like how "trust-based" a lot of advanced math is. like, a lot of papers will at various points say "we did this calculation, and got this", (like, two steps in equation manipulation will be related in a very unclear way) and not show you the calculation. and i get it, typing up the calculation is annoying. but often, i will try to replicate the calculation, and will not be able to! and generally i assume this is because i am much worse at math than the author. but like. i guess i just have to take your word for it that the calculation works! this sucks! math isnt supposed to be like this! thats the whole point!
The worst part is when this happens *in a textbook*, i.e. the thing that is *supposed to be teaching you*. "The derivation has been left as an exercise for the reader" fuck you
yeah i mean the crazy thing about leaving it as an exercise for the reader without putting the answer in the back or something is like. if youre doing advanced math, theres a good chance an explicit derivation doesnt exist in public writing, literally anywhere.
how do you feel about your hometown
love it/never wanna leave (still live there)

saw a post that made me wonder this. please tag with your thoughts im curious!!
I love asking people how their parents met. You always get an interesting reply. My best friend’s parents met on the relatively new internet in 1999. My other friend’s parents met at Burger King when one was the manager and the other was a regular customer. My parents met at the beach because they were neighbors in their rental houses, mom was on a church trip and dad was getting blackout drunk every night with his friends next door.
Tell me how your parents met in the tags.
are there any workout apps that exist that don’t mention calorie counting or weight loss, focus on building strength, help you create a schedule to make sure you’re not missing any part of the body, has reminders and check ins so you don’t forget, keeps track of the last time you worked on certain areas, offers stretches & workouts for a range of skill levels, and doesn’t assume you have access to any equipment or a gym membership. and is free. or is that too much to ask
finally watched howl's moving castle
I want to grow old gracefully and I never feared it in the first place, but I had accepted that I would no longer be beautiful (not that I'm beautiful now) (wait a minute this might actually be the thesis of the movie whoops anyways) but you can totally still be beautiful and powerful and compassionate and heroic when you're old
also fuck war
she wears short skirts, i leave a slime trail she’s cheer captain and i’m just a
Every time I see this I just quietly message it to a selection of people who are Never Grateful Enough
I am EXTREMELY grateful, I’m running a session tomorrow and I had no idea what giant monster to inflict on the party when they get bored with the plot. This is perfect!
May I turn you into an NPC in gratitude?
or maybe a weird magic item considering your handle
i understand (on paper) why companies are anti-piracy but its funny when random individuals are also strongly anti-piracy. like how does it negatively affect your life if someone you know downloads a cracked torrent of sims 4. you dont work for EA. EA isnt gonna pay you for this. you lose nothing. its fine. chill out.

If a trans girl tells you that she wants to start dressing more femme and your response is "but you're conforming to gender stereotypes" then she is entitled to punch you in the face as hard as she wants
Also, if a trans girl says she wants to go on hormones and your response is "but you're still valid if you don't get hrt" then she is also entitled to punch your face as hard as she wants
reblog this version you fucking cowards
