A real quick shot of my May spread. I’m obviously still practicing brush lettering but I’m finally getting to the point where I’m not embarrassed to show the attempts. I’m looking forward to May, my best friend’s, my little brother, and my birthday are all in May. Plus term one ends so I’ll go down to four classes instead of five which will be great.

Studyblr, meet Mugsy. He’s my very good boy and sometimes has been my only reason to wake up in the morning. He’s soft, cute, and sweet. He’s helped me learned to manage my mental health and reminds me to take care of myself, since I have to take care of him.
On that note; I know a lot of you have already started school (I have less than two weeks before I start! So excited!) and I just want to give you a quick reminder to check in with yourself. Really take the time to assess how you’re feeling physically and emotionally. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in all the activity in our lives that we forget self care. So, take your meds, hydrate, brush your teeth, take a shower, eat some veggies, rest up! Taking care of yourself is the best way to bring your A game!

It’s a rainy, slow day here at work. Thought I’d take a minute to post and catch up. I have been active for a while and my queue actually ran out because I’ve been consumed with school and work. My apartment has suffered for it, it is a complete mess, and my poor pup has been dealing with severely shortened walks because I have to designate so much time to school. I was actually feeling a bit down when I began working on updating a logo I created last year for an annual event (not something I was hired to do, but I offered to try and they liked it) and while I was working I realized how, in just six short weeks, I had learned a lot about how to create and work in Illustrate and by association Inkscape which is all I can access at work. I spent half the time it took me last year and was able to do more and add more cute and fun details, and I was able to clean up my original design. It felt good to be able to see legitimate progress, and to be able to work based on my knowledge and not Googled instructions!
TLDR:
Don’t get discouraged if you find a lot of your time being devoted to school. You do have to invest a lot, but it will feel so good when you start seeing your growth!
It’s been a hard week. My anxiety has been through the roof, but at least I’ve been doing well with classes. I’m so tired, I’m really thinking of taking a self care day from work soon, but I don’t know. I don’t like missing work, even though I’m salary and I get like 5 or something sick days, my mind is still stuck in crappy hourly pay jobs where you may lose your job or get you hours cut if you call in.
I don’t have a lot of time this weekend so my spread isn’t any good at all, instead here’s a picture from outside my apartment.
