Ironically everyone got the conformity ending despite Dustin's speech

Everyone just looks weird and acts weird and it not adding up to who they are as characters

For example

Jonathan -> yeah he went to New York University but his mannerisms felt off kinda pretentious vibes made me wonder where's my weird guy Jonathan

Robin -> her clothes are not queer coded at all which is a weird choice because she is a lesbian also where's her girlfriend wasn't her arc about being queer and in love a big part of who she is and why they are erasing her?

Nancy -> she seemed almost normal until I found she dropped out of her university.. like the fuck? Nancy is literally the one who always chases her goals without stopping always taking challenge after challenge is giving up?

Steve -> who is a coach is a fucking school wasn't his arc about peaking in high school trying to broaden your world view and include other people and their well-being as a priority in your life and defend them also dating a lot of women to find love as some kind of end goal why the hell would he stay in Hawkins in a school the fuck???

Mike -> he is the only apparent one just the moment he wore glasses and with will's painting in the background just the moment he turned into ted wheeler with repressed feelings and thoughts hiding in his mother's basement not wanting to confront life just tell stories the fuck?

Will -> what is he even doing in a gay bar the whole scene didn't feel like will I don't know how to explain it but there's something off his choices and directions doesn't feel like him and simply because he is more than a gay character

Dustin -> why the hell after his speech would he accept Stacey's invitation didn't she reject him in season 2 doesn't she look conforming?

Max and Lucas honestly they feel kinda okay in my opinion more like a version that finds joy in their friends' games and that's it which feels lacking

Also honestly I wouldn't accept max to play D&S after everything she has gone through also why is she standing lol

The whole epilogue is nice but not good doesn't feel like his characters and is more of a nice comfortable ambiguous open ending for all but never satisfactory in other words they probably wanna milk more of the show so maybe there's already a planned spin-off somewhere here or there but the thing is it makes the whole experience lacking and it doesn't feel like art feels more as it was a missed train (opportunity) that passed that you aren't sure when you got off or when you can ride again it's lacking and boring

I wouldn't like the idea of spin-off as art is meant to experience in its moment so a missed chance feels sour ya know?

But once you become accustomed to such a life you will see its full meaning and its incredible beauty.

Conformity and Obedience

The facilitation took all our energy away—but it was all worth it because we WON!

“Go itim! Go itim! Go, go, go!”

The facilitation required us to give 100% of our energy and practice active listening. The topic was about conformity and obedience, which are closely related in many ways. In the activities, especially the game given by the facilitator, we had to conform to what was being discussed or decided by the group. Along with conformity comes obedience, because when you conform to a group, you also tend to follow the instructions given by a leader. The leader guides and supervises the group for the betterment of the whole team.

Our experience during the “Paint Me a Picture” (i forgot the activity title) activity was like a rollercoaster ride. We experienced tiredness during the freeze time, and we also had to run to get props, which was exhausting. Even so, the activity was very fun, and we learned many things from the experience.

There was a time I thought I didn’t care about fitting in. But when I paid attention, I realized how often I adjusted myself just to blend with everyone else. I’d agree with opinions I wasn’t fully sure about, laugh a little louder than I felt, or stay quiet when I actually had something to say.

Conformity isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s subtle choosing what’s “safe,” following what’s trending, or shaping your personality to match the room. And honestly, it’s not always bad. It can make things easier. It can make you feel included. It can keep the peace.

But I’m learning that there’s a quiet strength in being authentic. In saying, “That’s not really my thing,” or “I see it differently.” Not to rebel. Not to stand out on purpose. But just to be real.

Maybe the goal isn’t to completely avoid conformity. Maybe it’s about knowing when you’re shrinking yourself just to belong and choosing, gently, not to.

Finding that balance between connection and authenticity is harder than it looks. But I think that’s where real confidence begins.

Conformity isn’t always pressure.

Obedience isn’t always force.

Sometimes it’s just silence, nodding along, and doing what’s expected.It’s changing how you act or think because a group, pressure, and you being obedient is there.

Sometimes it’s good, sometimes harmful, sometimes just neutral—but it shows how much others influence us and vice versa.

We accept when it truly goes our way, comply when we pretend to agree, and obey when authority tells us what to do.

Sometimes we just want to be liked. Sometimes we want to be right.

Menyeleksi teman-teman dekatnya. Dalam hal ini orang tua bisa menjadi teman juga dengan teman-teman anak dan orang tuanya 3. Kembangkan komunikasi dialogis dengan anak 4.
