Correlation and Connection

The two things that I just wrote intrigue me structurally. The thing called Bubble is:

6 Syllables per line

18 Syllables long

These are such "nicer" numbers as compared to the bit that followed called Air which was:

3, 9, 8 Syllables per line

20 Syllables long

Both were 13 words long.

Funny how that works, well, I think so.

So I found this fabric at my local thrift shop. It had a nice flow to it and it had a funky pattern so I said why not and purchased it for a whopping 2 bucks. I finally got around to making something with it and was wearing it when my parents had a little gathering up at our place. The nurse that was there when I was born happened to be there (small towns amirite?) and right away she asked me if I had made the dress. Turns out the fabric had been hers, and she had been given it ten years before while on a trip to Morocco. I like to be reminded every now and again that fabrics have histories. Who bought this thinking they would get around to using it eventually? Who finally cleared out their fabric stash? Who just couldn't resist buying a few meters on a vacation even though they couldn't sew? I just really like fabric.

Ok so I just ate a dove chocolate and the inside of the wrapper said "express yourself"...my blog title is "express yourself". Weird lol
