Shows up randomly
Do not mind me, I am merely a random guy posting my vault.
Disappears again

I have had the worst time trying to focus at work thanks to your mysterycount ship. So you know what? Here you go. I have no idea if I'll finish this, and I have no clue what to do with it. Nobody tell my boss I was hiding in an aisle staring at toothpaste writing puppet ships instead of focusing on my job.
You!" Ervin far too harshly. But he was met with an infernal grin (the same one haunting his dreams, the same one that stained his eyelids every time he blinked). "You have something that belongs to me."
"Do I?"
Ervin spluttered for a moment before pointing at the bracelet adorning Pal's wrist.
"Oh this?" He laughed and it was rough and tickled at Ervins senses. "Nah, this was just a lil' something I picked up."
"You stole it!"
"That's a hefty accusation," Pal smirked, "but I don't think this," he held up his arm and twisted it, "is what you're actually mad about. No, I think you're mad because I took something else."
Ervin wasn't blushing. He was absolutely not thinking anything other than getting back his bracelet. Very pure thoughts up there indeed. His mind was a steel trap, solely focused on that bracelet.
"Tell ya what, since yer cute I'll buy you a drink."
"Oh really?" Ervin said rolling his eyes, "And with who's money?"
Pal flashed him a wicked grin full of promise and something else, "oh it's all on you dollface."
"You…you can't call me that!" His voice was a near shrill squeak that could have shattered the windows.
"But I can steal your wallet? Good to know."
CACKLING
Yessssss MysteryCount my beloved! I really do need to write more for them 😩
Also, Ervin being susceptible to Pal's rizz is hilarious to me, I adore it! And Pal just straight-up teasing Ervin when confronted had me giggling. Pal telling Ervin that the stolen bracelet is "just something he picked up" is EVIL in the best way (Murray is either a horrible or great influence depending on who you ask lol).
What was this "something else" that you took Pal, huh? Ervin's sanity? His ability to string together a coherent sentence? His heart? All of the above? Regardless, they are adorable and I and here for any and all morsels thrown my way.
Thank you so much for writing this 🥺 here's a small snippet for you!
I present to y'all's a snippet about Dr. Confier Pine! I was asked ever so nicely by ones who are far too encouraging of my madness.
Credit to @aroace-get-out-of-my-face for the puppets

All too often Conifer heard humans describe love like a puzzle piece. That life was spent looking for your missing pieces. Preposterous. Though there was something to that sentiment, and as years passed he sometimes wondered if he was just born with missing pieces. He wondered if the gaping holes of his being were consuming him, that everyone could see the jagged empty void he was and knew that being too close meant being consumed. Conifer was in a constant cold war with himself, needing connection, desperately yearning. Voids were hungry, needy things. He wanted so he had to push them all away. Wanting and pushing, constant war (it was tearing him apart).
Conifer was a greedy man. He was a nothing but a selfish void (he deserved to be alone).
"Are you even looking?" His head snapped towards the exasperated voice. And when his eyes looked past her he couldn't help the audible gasp.
Astra giggled, "I didn't suggest this place for you to get lost in your old man brain. No sad faces! You can't be sad at the aquarium!"
"No, no I wasn't...." Conifer tries to come up with a lie but it's lost, whisked away by the wonderment of what he's truly seeing. He's floundering like a fish on the shore. It's truly like nothing he had ever seen before, and Astra… bless her, Astra hadn't done it justice.
"Lookit! C'mere! See see!" She pulls him towards viewing portholes and rooms that are just walls of glass and blue. He sees things called Jellyfish and anglers and deep sea bass and, so much more. He sees the world bathed in wobbly blue light and hears the low din of children's awe. When Astra crawls into a tunnel and he laughs, he laughs more than he had in days seeing her fluffy head of brown hair pop up in the pocket that allows her to look like one of the fish from where he's standing. She stands there awe struck, face pressed into the bubble before finally turning to him to make a funny face and pretend to swim. Her elbows clonk in the confined space and her hair is frizzing, but Conifer just laughs.
"Bit old for that isn't she," a lady next to him huffs. (When he looks back on this day he can't for the life of him remember what he said, what was more important was that Astra was still in the bubble, flipping her off).
"Isn't it cool!?" She had scurried her way out and made her way back to him (he doesn't know what he'd do if she never came back. If one day she decided he wasn't worth coming back to). Her hair was a frizzier mess than before, her brow is dotted with beads of sweat, but most of all she looks happy.
He's filled with warmth in a way he hadn't been before. And somehow the threads of his being recognize something that he thought didn't exist for him at all.
"Yes," he says with a laugh, "yes it is."
His daughter is so beautiful, and he soaks in her sunshine, letting it fill in that sad void. He thinks of the day they met and all the chaos that surrounded that moment. Conifer thinks about a man he hasn't yet claimed as his own, but that his heart threads have already woven into that part of his soul (it's embroidered into his being right next to Astra and Murray and Pal and….). He thinks to the other day, of a puppet like him saying "Are we the animals on display? I should think not! Now if you actually took the time to read this plaque you would see that…" He thinks of how love has been redefined.
Even at his worst moments, when the void has pulled him in and whispers with fangs and claws, they reach out.
And Conifer knows.
So… this took me a small eternity to write due to some irl issues that I’m dealing with but nevermind that because here it is folks! My revenge against @aroace-get-out-of-my-face, who carves my beating heart out of my chest and gleefully stomps on it on the regular with her amazing writing. So, with that said, this is the story of how Watchdog and one Dr. Pine met and eventually became friends! Be warned, there is gratuitous use of “the puppet” and it/its pronouns to describe Dr. Pine in this fic because they don’t actually introduce themselves yet lol.
Also, Jerk Ford belongs to @tinfoil-jones and Samuel (The Archivist) belongs to @tearosepedall. They have joint custody of Anti Ford, lol.
Part 2
Ford walked away from yet another stall, disappointed and growing more agitated as the market grew more and more crowded as time crawled closer and closer to the busiest time of the day. Ford had come early –with several hours to spare– to avoid getting caught in this exact situation. But needs must and Ford was two missions away from being completely out of Muknore.
May we have some art. we thirst.
Behold. some art dump be upon ye.
So... here I am. With a short fic about these damn puppets. I have so many brainworms you guys should be very afraid. Anyway! Enjoy an introduction to the classic Tattoo Parlor and Flower Shop trope!
Tagging @aroace-get-out-of-my-face @tinfoil-jones and @maridrawss who continue to infect me with the puppet brainrot.
"Leo! Connie! Murray!" Pal cried as he practically threw himself through the front door, the bell above it jingling pleasantly despite his explosive entrance.
