Conrad: ...Okay, this is cute, but I didn't cackle, I'm not a cackler--
Damian: It's called "artist license," love.
Conrad: And you used the ugly costume?!
Damian: Well, that's accurate to your dubious fashion choices that night--
Conrad: What's "JoJo's?"
Damian:
Damian: ...You can't be serious.
Conrad: Oh wait! Uh, didn't she sing that song that went like--
Damian: No, that's the wrong--please don't--DO NOT SING--!
Hell if I know how my first genuine DC fan art is my moots OC but the muse hits ya with inspiration on their own terms ig. Thanks entirely to @cer-rata and the one and only Conrad Bishop for somehow being my first DC fanart
Inspired by the Ena trend going around on Tiktok, Star Sapphire and Conrad Bishop
Also my first time drawing and coloring a black character so wow, lots of firsts today huh
@tamdrry agreed to do this for some reason, and man did they really lock in. This was a wild project on all sides I refuse to admit how long it took me to do all the redesigns and initially I'd wanted to post it after I finished the Trinity fic, but I'm taking forever, and this deserves to see the world.
Closer looks under the cut!
The Couch Hang
Left to right: Darla Dudley (Lieutenant Lightning), Kathy Branden (Beacon), Damian Wayne (Ifrit), Conrad Bishop (Star Sapphire), REDACTED (The Phantasm)
Cards Against Metahumanity
Jack Kole (Wonder Boy), Lor-Zod (Superboy III), Jeffrey "PJ Holt (Fairplay), Jon Kent (Superboy II)
Aqualad's #1 Fan
Suren Darga (Apostate), Colin Wilkes (Abuse)
Working Hard, Or Hardly Working?
Maya Ducard (Nobody), Mia "Maps" Mizoguchi (Robin VI)
...So yeah! That's it. Amazingly, the only two OCs are Conrad and REDACTED, the rest are just updates to forgotten characters. (Jack is a little cheating maybe, that boy is dead in canon and was never Wonder Boy, but you know, technically not an OC--)
It's a crazy year for many things, including amazing art. I may do a 2025 retrospective post later, idk, but It's been a lot of fun working with everyone, and next year is only going to get crazier.
Bruce cleared his throat. “Are…how are you holding up?”
Damian rolled his eyes and sat up a bit. “We don’t have to do this--”
“You look terrible.”
“I look great!”
“Hmm.” His father looked back at the road.
“Don’t you ‘hmm’ me! There’s nothing wrong–-”
“You’ve been slower than usual. Less coordinated. Forgetful. You aren’t sleeping well.”
Damian looked out the window at the lights that stretched and distorted as they passed by.
“...None of us sleep well.”
His father nodded. “Sure. But you were sleeping better.”
...It was true. He had been.
I'm finally starting the proper immediate sequel to Heart Of Gotham!
There's a lot going on and is definitely supported by some of the other stories in the series, but the first chapter was intended to fill in the most important immediate details.
Ideally I'll be updating monthly, perhaps a bit more frequently depending, we shall see.
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
@kuronekoartsblog worked long and hard on a variant cover(!!!) for Trinity. Might get another one done eventually, I seem to like sets of three.
This is the result of that one poll from a while back. We decided to go with Saint Seiya as the main anime reference. Kuro did some really cool design work here, and those colors? Cwispy.
Maybe I'll post chapter 2 soon, wouldn't that be cool
