Headaches are terrible.
MRI Fashionz. (nothing to worry about, y'all, but she wanted me to take pictures and share them with the Internet.) (please note that in picture #5 she's a cow who has to have an MRI because she thinks she's a pig.)
My language journey
Okay so for those of you who actually still read my blog you know that I'm learning both ASL and Spanish right now.
The ASL part is easy, it's all pretty straightforward the hardest part is just distinguishing signs that are similar. Other than that it's mainly just been memorization and repetition. I sign a lot when I'm at home when I'm just talking to my kids and my sister and follow ASL sites and blogs so I have some sort of regular exposure to it.
SPANISH however, is a fucking pain in my ass. For some reason, I didn't expect it to be as complex as it is. Or maybe I did and that's why I have put off learning it till now. Thankfully I have family that speaks the language to be like “hey, you are supposed to say this word in this context and not that one” I am also very grateful that a few years ago I had the smarts to buy a nice English to Spanish dictionary. The internet has also been extremely helpful. Because I’m cheap I got Rosetta Stone to help me along my language journey when it was on sale. The problem with Rosetta Stone is that they don't explain... anything. They use pictures to explain everything. Not words and there's a lot that you can not explain without words. So when they tell you that you will complete the course in so many hours they aren't counting any of the time that you have to study on your own using things that the program doesn't have to offer. So while I’m confident that Rosetta Stone will get me to the point where I’m conversational. I won't be able to do that with the software alone like they promise. Which is disappointing because I have a little sister in Mexico that wants to learn English as I learn Spanish. So I have been sending her “homework” based on each lesson. It's been more than a month and I am not even halfway done with lesson 3, and there are 20 lessons.
I don’t know why I’m having a terrible headache everyday.
i hope i get better but i don’t see it happening
