Casually headed back to the mall bc neither of us have upgraded our phone since 2016 and had no idea that apple doesn’t give you a dang wall plug to charge your phone in the box anymore 🙃

I just saw something on the local news about crisis fatigue and if that doesn’t describe the mental state so many of us are in right now I don’t know what does

#like #we’re dealing with my giant mountain of childhood trauma that’s only come to light these past few years #plus my husband’s work trauma #plus the pandemic and my health issues which have meant we’ve had to be especially isolated #plus the trauma of living under the freaking Trump administration #plus possibly losing our church community and a number of friends due to all this #and now this horrible winter #which left us without power for 3 weeks last November #and for a few days around New Years #(all of which was caused me to go into shutdown/panic attack mode bc of various accompanying triggers)#and then this especially horrible week #I’m grateful we don’t have it as bad as our neighbors in Texas #but this has not been fun #mass infrastructure failures causing rolling power outages #and now our water’s coming out at just a trickle (thankful we have any at all tbh)#bc of the 31 water main breaks #constant stress #constantly freezing #constant crisis #when will it all be over #I’m so tired #thoughts #mental health
