He’d forgotten the date entirely. He’d planned for it all week, and yet when the day he came it slipped his mind. That wasn’t entirely accurate, but no matter the excuse, it didn’t make up for the fact that Aiden hadn’t been at the airport when Haku’s flight came in. He wanted to show his brother that everything was alright. That, despite the weird timed Skype calls, his life was in order. For the most part, he could make it seem that way. He could make it seem like his anxieties and his untreated psychological trauma weren’t slowly strangling him--but the truth of the matter was opposite.
Which was why he was answering the doorbell instead of greeting his brother at the airport. Aiden pulled the door open, looking rushed and disheveled, despite all attempts not to.
“Haku. Gomenasai.” Aiden said ushering him inside. “Forgive me for not meeting you. ...Eto, I’m glad you made it.”
