A magical construct whumpee, but instead of clay or stone, they’re made of hollow porcelain. Their creator made them able to feel pain, so they’d be more ‘human’.
Every crack feels like a bone snapping, every time a piece breaks off is like flesh ripped from their body. The whumper enjoys hurting them, enjoys how human they are because of it.
But what they enjoy more? Filling in the breaks, so whumpee doesn’t fall apart. They make every pain visible by filling it in with gold, taking a note from kintsugi. It’s beautiful. It feels like molten lava being poured into whumpee’s skin.
But they were made to be broken, to be pieced back together, to have pieces grafted on and replaced like a living Ship of Theseus experiment
By the time caretaker finds them, what kind of being are they anymore?
