The walk was long – she had barely managed to convince one of her father's chauffeurs to accompany her, to escort her to the street she needed to be on. Alexis tugged her coat tight around her waist and prayed that she wouldn't be seen by anyone just yet, and she kept her head down as she moved. It was a chilly day in London, she managed to note absently, barely caring.
It was, regardless of comfort, one of her only shots at really being free.
So she made her way to his door, clutching the small, battered sheet of paper in her hand as she knocked. He had to be in – she needed his help, needed him; he might be the only one who might be able to move around her father, especially if he really was Holmes' friend. Or had once been.
When the door came open, she barely faltered before she spoke. What was there to lose?
"I'm Alexis Moran-Moriarty," she said clearly, her eyes unwavering. "And I need your assistance."
