Parents are in the hospital with severe dengue. Things were pretty bad yesterday—for a while, it was touch and go. Platelet count v low, internal bleeding risk, etc. It is taking incredible feats of compartmentalization to be able to exist separately, parallelly, so far away, and to be doing things like completing assignments and studying for tests. All ineffectively. All with an aching, terrified heart.

They’re taking a turn for the better now, though. And I have a bunch of submissions to tend to today. Wild cognitive switching efforts; something something about the dichotomy of man.
