Maybe I should post about metal more?
Like, I’m never going to be a metal blog, but touhou and birds don’t exactly generate an endless well of post material.

Our mission is to provide details about AI-powered platforms across different technologies, each of which offer unique set of features. The AI industry encompasses a broad range of technologies designed to simulate human intelligence. These include machine learning, natural language processing, robotics, computer vision, and more. Companies and research institutions are continuously advancing AI capabilities, from creating sophisticated algorithms to developing powerful hardware. The AI industry, characterized by the development and deployment of artificial intelligence technologies, has a profound impact on our daily lives, reshaping various aspects of how we live, work, and interact.
Google's AI video software has audio now. Information is fucked gang.
Brief thoughts on AI writing/art data-scraping and subsequent content production, & the conclusion I've come to.
Thought #1: There has been a lot of discussion about how AI is or is not art theft (or writing theft); from my understanding every model works slightly differently. What isn't up for debate, though, is that all AI models require data to function, and that data has to come from somewhere. The companies developing AI have a strong incentive to get data by any means possible; the internet is the easiest place to start, but there's no way to get permission from every single person who has ever put something on the internet for the use of that thing to develop the AI, even if every single person were inclined to give it.
Conclusion #1: Doesn't matter if the AI's output is a copyright violation; instead, it was a violation of copyright to feed that data to the AI in the first place, making the AI itself inherently legally problematic.
("BRIEF" DO NOT @ ME OKAY. SEE BELOW FOR THE REST OF MY BIG ASS ESSAY. I WILL REBLOG WITH THE SHORTEST TL;DR I CAN MANAGE.)
There are so many things I hate about AI art. Let me write about one of them right now.
The "beautiful" sameness of the faces. Ask for, man in a suit holding flowers. Get 100 images. All of these men look like they're 25 year old supermodels.
Where's the fat men? The men with wrinkles? The middle aged men? The elderly men? Not to mention how insanely racist it is - almost all of the results are white, sometimes east Asian. Never any other ethnicity without specific prompting.
Ok so maybe you want a picture of an Indian man holding flowers. Ask for that. You'll get 100 of the most handsome men - they all look like 25 year old supermodels, still.
And it's not just the age, race, and weight that's a blur of sameness. It's also the character. There's no faces with character. There's none of the natural human variety that I personally think makes people look beautiful. I like a face that, in the Hollywood sense, looks like a "character actor". The wide nose, the wrinkles, the sharp features, the round features, the scars, the grins, the smirks. There's none of that in these AI images.
I'll take stock photos instead. At least those aren't completely shot with the most typically beautiful models on the planet. And even if you come across that in a shoot, the model looks like they have emotion half the time - even if that emotion is embarrassment at how silly this photo shoot they're doing is.
