If you have posted videos to TikTok and you do not have them all saved and you would like to do that before they may shut off US access, here's how you can do that.
Create a new TikTok account, and follow your original account and nothing else.
On your computer, using the Chrome browser only (sorry), go to https://myfavett.com
Install the myfaveTT extension.
Open TikTok.com, also in chrome and sign in with your new account.
The extension will offer to download all of the videos from every account you are following, which will only be your original account.
Follow the directions on the screen, and in time you will have all of your videos downloaded to the folder on your hard drive that you designate.
The process will create a page called archive.html which will basically replicate your TikTok page in your browser and show you each video and information about it including your original caption.
It's pretty obvious that this extension has largely been used by content thieves, because it downloads videos from an account that you're not signed into, and without any watermarks. But in the situation we are facing of losing access to TikTok entirely, using this tool to archive our own work seems completely reasonable. This would also allow uploading our content to another platform.
