Character Introduction - Factorial: Silken White Innocence
“A most unusual, yet lovable creature. He is as gentle and delicate as snow, a perfect curative for a wounded soul indeed. Even the plight of lowly insects upsets him. It is truly a wonder of nature that one who endured as much as he retained kindness in his heart. “ - Yae Miko
When strolling through the fields of Inazuma, one can observe an unusual figure playing with the local youth. The white fox dashes and hops freely, contradicting the elegant and mysterious assumptions about his race. Such a rare sight he is that Factorial quickly became the mascot of Narukami. While popular, few people dare pester or even approach this care-free kitsune. Even the temptation of six fluffy, foxian tails does not overpower the respect held towards him... And his eternal guardian.
The people of Inazuma know that his arrival always comes with an imposing escort - the Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine always lurks in the background, keeping her ever-watchful eye on her treasured husband. If anything startles the fearful Youkai, Yae Miko is always his refuge and shelter, heralding grievous consequences to those that dare bother him.
No matter how sweltering the sun is, Factorial never removes his kimono, although scars around his neck and arms fuel the onlooker’s imagination. What stories lie behind them? What darkness lives behind his bright, friendly eyes? Only the keeper of his heart knows the full truth, and perhaps it is better that way.
One thing will remain certain - whoever raises a hand on that cloud made flesh risks the ire of the Guuji and the entire island.
Notes
Factorial is the main character of my budding series Equals. Although it has initially been made as an ordinary reader insert, now that it is a series I decided that I want to make it a bit more. When the next installment of Equals will be released, the previous chapters will be changed according to this decision.
In the future, you can expect some more non-Equals content for Factorial, such as voiceover lines.
Question: Do you want me to do an original idea or a request?
The ideas I have in my mind recently are as follows:
- a more relationship-focused fic about Arlecchino and a masochist!Reader, involving out-of-bedroom Interactions with Arlecchino and the impressions/assumptions of adjacent characters
- a fic about the private, female-only spaces of a few girls (Jean, Ganyu, Shinobu and Nilou) and how they shoo Reader away from them (when he threads there on accident), but feel that it's okay to enter his spaces; this fic themes around the cultural difference between the sexes in regards to exclusive areas they have, or don't have. Involves the girl realising her double standard and becoming more respectful towards the reader; fluffy and hurt/comfort-y. (I'm not sure if I conveyed it precisely but you get the jist).
- a simpler, fluffy fic that's basically the "with enough power you can refire even a dying star" meme but in fic format. Essentially the reader stumbles upon his other half's fertility pill stash and reactions ensue.
It's been three years, so it's high time to tell you guys something about myself.
Here I go by contentloadingandstuff - just 'content' for short. I'm male, straight, born on the same day as the world famous aquarelist - the 20th of April. I have a younger sister and a cat, named Kota (she-cat in Polish, sort of). I'm studying law, but I'm unhappy with it and waiting to jump over to psychology.
I'm from Poland, the land over the Vistula, of the blooming onion, the eternal occupation/invasion joke. While Poland isn't in the top echelons of the world, I'm still proud of our history and happy to see my nation develop. I'm fluent in English, but I can also understand German on a basic level, read the cyrilic alphabet and speak a tiny bit of Japanese.
I've been playing Genshin Impact since Shinobu's release in 2.2. AR 50, did most things you could do in the game. My favorite character is and was always Ganyu. I've started writing for the game for two reasons - first, my dusty old Necro AU and the lack of male reader content in terms of fics. I'm quite happy to have this blog. You can find me under Polski_Cynamon on the Europe server.
Although my interests are very broad, my hobbies focus primarily on gaming, cultural analysis and writing. I'm a big World War II buff, but the history of warfare in general also catches my fancy. Truth be told, I could get into and talk about any topic really. Except politics - at least not on the blog. I'm not afraid to argue my points, just not here. Thanks for understanding.

DEDICATED FELINE SECTION
Behold, Kota. I got her four years ago from my uncle; her mother was a very wounded stray named Anka (Annie, yes a human name) that had four kittens - two of them died thanks to my uncle's horde of basset hounds (to quote my grandmother, they are big and heavy like swine). From there on she leads a happy life being what most cats are - spoiled, antitled and loving in her own way.
She might look cute (she is), but don't be mistaken - she's a little devil. She relentlessly hunts the feet of my sister, chewing and kicking them for fun; she generally likes to wrestle with lots of teeth, but she also fetches when she wants. My mother is the unfortunate favorite person of my cat, and as a result she is followed at all times, woken up at dawn to feed the feline and constantly pestered for raw meat or treats. Kota is quite talkative and often holds conversations with me.
Oh, and vet visits are a nightmare. She's always given gabapentine to be less of a threat to doctors when trimming her nails. She once swiped the facemask of a vet tech clean off their face, but luckily the woman was okay. So yeah - an imp, adorable, but hellish.
Now, enjoy picures of my bejbe.
I'll be adding on to this page as time goes on. But for now, it's gonna be all.
Since Equals isn't really meant to be a proper narrative like Mortuarius (if anybody still remembers it - by the way, a remake from ground up is in the works), I'm very open to requests when it comes to topics and interactions. I think it would have more potential as a sort of AU for me to write in. So, comment down below or throw your ideas into the asks - as always, I will look into each one.
So, the people have spoken. With my query touching on what non-story content of Equals AU you would like to see, I have been made aware that headcanons are all the rage. And so I will provide headcanons with a new mini-series, called "Paws and Tails: Male Care for Dummies". Name is a work-in-progress, drop your suggestions below if you have better ideas.
What'll the series be about?
To be a story, Equals needs to move forward - thus limiting my ability to examine what exactly Factorial's daily life looked like in the separatist society. I can't constantly go back in time to show minor happenings or shoehorn them into diogetic conversations. Thusly, the series will take the form of an in-world book, detailing how to "care" for kitsune men, featuring various "helpful" advice and an interesting look into the reasoning as to why males are treated like they are, a cool opportunity to get into the head of those sick enough to have slaves. Each post will be a chapter, made up of advice on a specific topic, but will also feature tiny scenes from Factorial's past life where this advice was put into use.
I think it is time for... Another poll! Yaaay!
I want the first chapter to be about...
"How to get your dog to make friends."
"Dos and Don'ts: Food for male tummies."
"Cleanliness is Godliness - Male hygiene for beginners."
"Good Boy Training: Making the first step."
Something else! (comments)

Also, another important note. There's a bit of a problem on the hands of one of my readers - her dog was hit by a bike and, since this is the Philippines, nobody cares. She needs just a bit of cash, roughly 15 bucks, to get the pupper checked up. The initial cost was 30, but I've paid for half the visit already - I'd hate to see the dog end up put down because nobody gives a damn in that backwater nation where animal abuse is rampant. So, got any change guys? @salibadati would greatly appreciate it.
Information is very important when spending money - twice so when it comes to services. That's why, to help others when picking who to commission, I'll be going over my experiences with the artists I worked with.
Note: The reviews are focused on the professional aspect - artistic work and related interactions, not them as people.
@reiketsunomizunomegami messaged me directly after I posted the request and, following a brief moment of consultation and negotiation, the work began on the 25th of July and lasted until the 14th of August, totalling 20 days. The payment was made through PayPal and communication happened through Tumblr's DM system. The payment of 3076,40 PH₱ (53,83 US$/46,26€) was made upfront.
There was one major addition (tails), one major change (a background tori gate) and two minor changes (face details and a constellation in the background).
All in all, I am very satisfied with how the drawing came out - Factorial is exactly like I imagined him. There are no nitpicks to be had here.
Pricing: The costs of commissions match the general pattern of other artists, so 50$ for lineart and 100$ for a full shaded drawing. I was offered a massive discount (I'm not sure why), but I will look past it to offer the most honest review I can. Even if I will be offered it in the future, I will not take up that offer - skillful work must be renumerated adequately.
Pros
+++ Communication - Excellent, possibly the biggest factor in my satisfaction with the whole process. I was updated every two days (on average, some updates were on consecutive days) and could literally see my commission come to life, from a rough character pose through lineart up to the full color drawing.
+ Consultations and chats - A great complementary to communication, we were chatting and asking questions every now and then in a casual fashion. It really made me feel comfortable with sharing my thoughts and feedback on the piece.
+ Changes - I wasn't concerned with asking for edits thanks to the open atmosphere; the artist was happy to include/exclude all the things I asked for. What's more, she noticed one thing I requested and did not bring up again, all on her own, and added it later on.
+ Attention to detail - Even the minor curiosities, like scars, were included.
+ Artistic intuition - It's a concept diffucult to explain, but I'll do my best: reiketsu created the exact pose, expression and character I imagined on the first time of asking. I'm not confident with the reason being clear communication on my end (I had problems with other artists before), it might have been luck, but I choose to believe it's thanks to the imagination she has.
+ Research - She went beyond just the initial description. She chatted to me about the character and the reasoning behind his appearence and overall vibe. She even read the story he was from. The background was inspired by said research - the intention was to depict the character in a calmer, happier moment.
+ Multiple image versions - I was given a total of five versions of the final image, differing slightly. Included were the moonlight skin version, a neutral skin lighting version and a version without the signature.
Cons
-- The images were all PNGs, missing one raw from the program she used - with the ability to view separate layers - but that is more of my whim than anything else. I cannot find any real flaws.
Overall Rating: 10/10
Ancestor reviews: "A brilliant confluence of skill and purpose!"
