21 and 29 for the codex? :)
Oooh, fun ones 👀
21: Chakwas' medical report about Shepard, if she were allowed to be completely honest
[Following Shepard's treatment after Grunt's rite of passage. In addition to the expected array of mild abrasions and lacerations, there were a number of novel injuries - thresher maw acid included - and three particularly deep, though somehow not fatal, wounds that extend from the left jaw down to the shoulder]
I understand that Commander Shepard is still adapting to new combat methods, as her biotic abilities have yet to return. But, one may begin to question, how much can be ascribed to lacking the ability to throw a pack of varren across the field, and how much may be... intentional failure to act? Intentionally courting harm? How in God's name does a seasoned soldier, enhanced in ways I still can't entirely wrap my head around, come back clawed up from neck to ear like that - and how did she not bleed out?
Once again - just what did these people do to her?
29: A message for Shepard from their parents/family, written/recorded before they were born.
[A hand-painted card; clearly old and rather faded - but still legible enough. It's a watercolor of the band of the Milky Way, with one star inked in silver that still has a little bit of glitter. A message is written in the same ink: 'A New Star Lights Up The Sky'. Inside are several well-wishes and congratulations to Hannah and Alexander Shepard, from family and friends. On the back, however, in plain black ink:]
I can't tell you how excited we are to meet you. You're going to be a pioneer just by being born, you know that? We went and opened up the whole galaxy for you - and we'll do whatever it takes to keep you safe.
I can't wait to see what you'll do with it, Starshine. I know it'll be amazing - and so will you.
Love, Mom.
