There’s a lot of truth to this. I’ve been doing panels at Anime cons since 2011 when I ran Moon Prism Poptarts. I found that anime cons, especially if ran by Veteran con staff value experience over follower count. Comic cons tend to scout for follower count leaving to questionable people running panels on anti-bullying (when they are the bullies) and mental health. It’s my goal to get our mental health and fandom panel in the con circuit in 2018. For those of you who have seen our panels, let your local con know about us - we love doing these!
