Have the cryptic hunters + Apo (by association) ever had the police called on them? Since it seems like the cryptic hunters just enter whatever area they think is haunted. Maybe they accidentally entered private property without noticing and the place was not as abandoned as they suspected. Or maybe they get the police called on them by the creatures they are looking for? It would be a creature that can pass as human and maybe they just do not want a group of weirdos in their property. Especially if they are trying to remain hidden. 

Oh the local cops know them all Well. They usually go for abandoned houses but they are not always right! I think it's mostly a "oh hello guys, please get off this property, come on, you know you need a permit for this" type of interaction. If ghosts call the cops then that's a different (hilarious) thing. Sheryl is calling her nephew despite having been dead for twenty years to report a gang of hooligans. Ghostface is breathing heavily and warning them about some imminent murders. etc etc

Volley commits crime

Pearl shrugged off her jacket as she stepped into the beach house, before stretching her hands up over her head. She was pondering what sparring methods to use with her students at little homeschool when she saw Volley carrying a huge pile of toilet paper and disposable face masks.

“Sweetheart, what are you doing?” Pearl asked, her brows furrowed.

“Oh, I got these from all the local stores. They kept asking for things called ‘dollars’, but I didn’t know what they were! They then threatened to call the... pogs?... pigs! Yeah, pigs! I’m planning on selling these on eBay.”

Pearl pondered yet again, though this time it was about the logic of not knowing what money was but still reselling stolen items.

“You know that’s illegal, right?”

“Illegal? Well, pearls having gem rights was illegal until extremely recently so I think the law has some flaws, don’t you?”

Pearl pondered her statement. “While yes, it wouldn’t benefit anyone other then billionaires to actually purchase those products and reselling them could help pay for little homeschool, it’s also illegal.”

“I’m not even marking up the price! I actually decreased it by 69 cents!”

“Well,” Pearl pondered, “I guess that is morally sound. But I’m really not in the mood to bail you out of jail for grand bog-roll-and-masks-theft.”

Volleyball took her turn pondering, “that’s fair enough. I’m sorry, Pearl, I’ll return them to the shops where they can be sold for a ridiculous price to line the pockets of billionaires.”

“Good pearl! See you later!”

“See you!”

Little did she know, Volley went on to use the masks and toilet roll to clog every toilet in the whitehouse.

so today at work we had to visit a police station for some reason idk i and my boss [who's this white woman who claims to understand us even though everyone there is poor +/ a person of color and constantly aggressively genders me as feminine despite not doing it for the cis girls in the program (who are also brown which...lets unpack that)] completely shut down this girl who said she'd feel unsafe and didn't want to go. also our superviser told us she sucks and he is supposed to work in athletics not with us but our boss has terrible management skills so the person who was supposed to supervise us quit. yikes

Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 2 Spoilers

Okay, remember after Bucky and Sam leave Isaiah’s house, they walk out into the street and they’re talking, right?

When the cops pulled up, I got extremely anxious. Like, what the fuck were they going to do?

When they asked Sam for identification, I just sat there saying “Wow.”

And not the “Oh cool!” kind of wow. Like the “are you actually fucking serious” kind of wow.

I was so worried about what was going to happen, and then when the other cop had to tell the first that they were Avengers, I’m so fucking angry.

He goes from saying to Bucky “Is this guy bothering you?” to “I’m so sorry, Mr. Wilson.”

I was super pissed about that.

Maybe I’m not someone who’s in any place to say any of this. I’m a white woman, I recognize white privilege, and that I have that privilege. But the fact that they didn’t take Sam’s word even when Bucky said the same thing just rubbed me the wrong fucking way. I dunno, that scene just made me really uncomfortable.

do you folks ever think about how julia montauk and trevor herbert were subjected to so much systemic bullshit? first, julia had her mother robbed from her and her father was put into an extremely difficult position by the cult of the divine host. then she had to put up with the court system, social workers, therapists and counselors who she suspected were reveling in the spectacle of her father’s crimes and were making her feel uncomfortable all through her childhood. julia’s father was imprisoned and died in prison. trevor was canonically a homeless addict and had to survive classist vagrancy, loitering, and anti-squatting laws. even after julia found a family in trevor and the hunt, a connection that protected her from the dark, which had terrorized her nearly her entire life, she and trevor had to put up with cops only to eventually be murdered by cops. julia and trevor deserved so much better.
