Ninjinktober 2019 (Day 24. Your OC or Sona)

OKAY SO I FOUND THIS IN MY DRAFTS AND IMMEDIATELY PICKED IT UP BECAUSE I NEEDED TO FINISH IT. Some good old Cora and Nozomi (OC by @clumsinessinperson) bonding because I love them.

“Yeah, okay, no. This isn’t working.”

Cora was up for mostly everything; from something as simple as pulling an all-nighter to finish a video game, to something extremely reckless like sneaking off with Cole and Jay to drive into the desert just because they could.

Walking in heels was not one of these things.

They were at Borg Industries, for the launch of a new product, and for some reason Cora had agreed to letting Teddy choose her outfit. She loved Teddy, she really did, but she was never going to wear heels again.

Cora grabbed Nozomi’s arm and stopped him from walking. The boy looked at her with a puzzled look. “Everything okay?”

She nodded. “Do you know if Cole left already? I need someone to drive me home so I can change.”

“Why though?”

“I’ve tripped like ten times so far, and it’s only been less than an hour,” Cora explained. “They’re so painful.”

Nozomi placed his hand on top of Cora’s—who was still grabbing onto his arm—and looked around the room, as if telling her to wait.

“Isn’t our size the same?”

Cora raised an eyebrow. “Yeah? What does this have to—”

“Cole left already. I’ll wear them.”

Normally she’d argue, and tell Nozomi he didn’t have to do this for her, but at this point her feet were practically begging to be set free.

“You are literally a godsend.”

Not a single person found it odd that Nozomi was wearing Cora’s heels that night.

Ninjago OC Shipping Week Day 2: Day of Fun

 So it’s my first turn in the @ninjagoocshippingweek collab with @evelinaonline and @ninjagoruinedmylife

Lost and Found - Ninjago OC Shipping Week Day 1

Holo friends, and welcome to the beginning of our adventure!! I think i'm the person who should say it since i post the first day prompt: for this challange, me, @clumsinessinperson and @evelinaonline decided to ~collaborate~, which means that each of us will do two prompts and then we all post something on the final day! We decided that because we are all lowkey chaotic and don't have time to do smth for all the days our OCs exist within the same universe and we lowkey adopted each others' OCs and love them as dearly as our own *dabs*

For today, i wrote a fanfic about how Cora (@evelinaonline daughter) and Ava (the daughter of us three) met!! It takes part in "our" season tho it's more like a special episode or s10 when it comes to the lenght lmao in which Teddy (@clumsinessinperson daughter) gets kidnapped and i don't have time to explain everuthing okay let's go lesbians let's go-

Cora could only blame herself for the situation she just got in.

Once they sneaked into the gang's hideout, the guards were immediately alarmed due to the suprisingly good security system, which meant that they had to be quick. Everyone parted ways and started searching each of the many corridors in the building. Cora didn't even dare to ask for a partner who could help her - the more people were exploring the place, the bigger was the chance that they will find Teddy quickly. She thought that she will figure something out, like always.

Since she was blind and had no one to let her borrow their sight, she looked through the eyes of the guard she found in the next hall, walking in front of her. Unluckily for her, he noticed her after a some time, and she had to act - without much thinking, she hit him in the stomach with her staff. The last thing she saw before he passed out after crashing into the wall was her confident smirk.

Way too confident, it turned out.

Cora suddenly realised something quite important: until she finds someone, she's gonna be fully blind. Trying not to panic, she lowered her staff and started using it as a cane. She took a few steps forward and desperately searched for the memories of the few times when Jacob wanted to teach her how to function without using her powers. In calm, normal situations she managed to remind herself some of them and use them, but at that moment everything seemed like falling apart. She should be better than this, Teddy's life was at stake, damm it! But there she was, lump growing in her throat as she tried to navigate through a never ending hall...

And what if Teddy was asleep or unconcious? How is she gonna find her like that? How is she even gonna get out of there like that?

She let out an annoyed sight as she nearly walked into the wall. The panic inside of her only grew when she turned right and entered yet another hall. She wanted to focus on her other senses, just like her dad taught her, but she couldn't gather her thoughts at all. The voices ringing in her head told her that while the others are out there fighting and saving Teddy, she's wandering, clueless and useless. Cora had to go on, she had to help her best friend, she had to support the others, but suddenly it got harder to breathe and her brain was flooded with dark thoughts and she couldn't see anything she couldn't rescue Teddy-

She tripped and fell on her knees, breathing heavily. She had to calm down, breaking like that wouldn't help anyone and she had a mission, a personal one, to fulify... Usually motivating herself like that saved her from completly losing her mind, it kept her in a state good enough to finish what she had to do. It was selfish to focus on yourself when you should focus on someone else.

Though at that exact moment Cora just couldn't do anything, for anyone.

She let out a muffled sob and tried to stand up; no way, she was too dizzy for that. She tightened the grip on her staff ad managed to get on one knee like that.

"Come on," she whispered to herself, and with the sound of her own voice in the deadly silent hall the knot in her chest loosened up a bit.

Wait, but was it still deadly silent? She suddenly heard someone's quick steps and loud panting. That person was going to appear in front of her soon, Cora realised, and then took a few deep breaths. She had to be ready to use her power anytime. She closed her eyes and waited, the steps only getting closer.

Now! She opened her eyes and saw herself kneeling on a floor a few meters away from the person. She raised her head at them as they stopped instead of running right at her and attacking her in her weak moment. Weird.

"Are you hurt?" A soft, deeply caring voice asked her. The girl whose sight Cora was using pulled a streak of long, blonde hair from her face.

She couldn't be a part of the gang, or at least it was highly doubtful. Would anyone here really care whether she was okay or not?

After the first wave of confusion, Cora realised she still didn't answer. Not trusting her voice, she just nodded quickly.

"Are you Teddy's friend? I heard an alarm and someone mentioned ninjas, and-"

"Where is she? Can you take me to her?" A new hope appeared in her after girl's words, a hope strong enough to make her stand up and take a few steps forward. Now they were standing face to face, close enough that she could see her own expression hardening with determination.

"I'll lead the way." The girl nodded, grabbed her hand and turned around. Now it seemed that they were going back to where she came from. "I'm Ava, by the way. I've been taking care of Teddy, so I can assure you she's alive. Not in a best state, but I did everything I could to help her. Poor thing, she really didn't deserve to be in the centre of this mess..."

"That's... nice of you," Cora blurted out, suprised by Ava's kidness and compassion. What a person like her did in a place like this? "Also, my name is-"

They walked into another corridor and saw a tall men leaning on the wall and saying something into a walkie-talkie. His eyes widened, but before he managed to do anything, Ava harshly took the comunicator from him and turned it off.

"What..." he mumbled and knitted his brows. Ava tilted her head, stepped on his foot, hit him in the nose and then kicked his chest. He fell on the floor, fully knocked out.

She turned back at Cora and, with her knuckles covered in blood, grabbed her hand again.

"Cora. I know. Teddy talked about you." Ava said. Cora could've sworn that the other girl smiled after seeing her mouth forming a perfect o. "Now let's move forward, shall we?"

That was impressive, she had to admit. And effective, which mattered the most.

With an ally like this, she was going to get Teddy out of there in no time.

A Misunderstanding (Ninjago OC Shipping Week - Day Three - Crackship)

YOOO I’m so excited about this!! This is my entry for Day Three of @ninjagoocshippingweek​! I’m doing this challenge along with my friends @ninjagoruinedmylife​ and @clumsinessinperson​, and I took over this prompt-

Anyway, Teddy belongs to @clumsinessinperson​, and Cora is my OC! I don’t know if this counts as a crackship, but we’ll see - hope you like it!

Crushes never ended well for Lloyd.

Well, it wasn’t like he had had many of them; as far as anyone was concerned, he’d magically aged up, missing out most of his childhood, and being a ninja certainly didn’t help. He hardly ever met new people outside his duties, and those he already knew he considered his family.

But not Teddy.

He remembered the first time he laid eyes on her. She was behind her desk in Borg Industries, and he’d needed help with a mission. Of course, he hadn’t told her that. Pretending the broken laptop he’d brought in was simply an accident between him and the rest of the team was much easier — and safer — than explaining he’d found it at the enemy’s headquarters.

Teddy had figured it out anyway.

It wasn’t just her intelligence that intrigued Lloyd. He loved the way her eyes smiled when he said a joke. He loved the sound of her giggles. He loved how her grin could light up an entire room in seconds. There was so much more to Teddy he couldn’t put into words, and oh god, maybe it wasn’t just a crush.

It didn’t matter anyway. Teddy was most certainly not single.

Little attention was needed to figure out what was going on between her and Cora. Whispering to each other and immediately breaking into giggles, holding hands and cuddling on the couch, kissing each other’s cheeks…

He couldn’t blame Teddy for having eyes for Cora. The master of sight was the funniest person he knew, maybe second only to Jay, and was a great and trustworthy friend, above all.

Lloyd glanced at her from his spot on the couch. They were watching ninja turtles — of course Cora would choose ninja turtles — and she was hugging every pillow on the couch.

“Eyes on the TV,” Cora said. “I’m kinda watching this whole thing through your eyes, remember?”

“Right,” Lloyd said, looking back at the television. He wasn’t used to watching anything with Cora; that was usually Teddy or Cole.

“Thaaank you!”

They watched in silence for a few more minutes. Lloyd had to admit, he did quite enjoy the series. There were a few jokes that cracked him up — God forbid if Kai ever found out the things he laughed at — and the action scenes weren’t half bad.

But there was something eating him up, had been for the past few weeks, and he needed to ask before he exploded.

“Okay, break time,” Lloyd said, pausing the episode with the remote control.

“Aww, come on!” Cora frowned. “This is the best part!”

“I just,” Lloyd said, “I needed to ask you something, okay? And I want you to listen- No, I need you to listen.”

“Okay? Shoot.”

Lloyd took a deep breath. “Are you and Teddy…?”

Lloyd let the rest be implied, looking at Cora. Her eyes were filled with Lloyd’s green color, staring into nothingness. He knew better than to look for too long though. The last thing he wanted was for Cora to comment on that too.

“Yeah…? What about me and Teddy?”

Lloyd gulped. “You know. Are you like… A thing?”

“Lloyd, what are you trying to-”

“ARE YOU AND TEDDY DATING?”

Silence.

Lloyd didn’t know why he felt the need to hold his breath in, but he did. It felt as if time had stopped, and there was nothing in the world but him and Cora.

Then laughter.

“Holy shit!” Cora cackled. “Are you for real?!”

“Just answer the question,” Lloyd mumbled under his breath.

“No, Lloyd, heavens, no,” Cora said, wiping a tear off her face. “We’re friends, that’s all. I swear to you.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah, oh.” Cora let herself fall against the couches back. “Man, that’s gonna be a story to tell to Teddy.”

“You wouldn’t.”

“Would I?” Cora stuck her tongue out at him.

Under any other circumstances, Lloyd would have probably kicked her out of the Bounty. But, as relief entered his chest and an exhale left his body, he could only laugh.

Maybe he’d allow himself to have a crush just for once.
