Day 7: Dancing on a Balcony at Sunset
Violetta leant on the balcony, staring at the sky. It was a peaceful day in the kingdom of Taruh. People went about their day, and Violetta watched the girls run around, their skin glowing in the sun.
“Cal’i krau’un?”
Violetta jumped at the sudden voice that requested to join her on the balcony. “Of course,” she smiled.
Orion leant on the railing, staring out at the dipping rays, bathing everything in deep gold. He paused, looking at her.
Violetta heard a sitar from below. She hummed and swayed to the music. Orion chuckled.
“Ik’hana, would you like to dance with me?”
Violetta looked at him, surprised. She laughed lightly. “Yes,” she said.
Orion slipped his hand in hers, putting his other hand on her waist.
“What type of dancing is this?” she asked, curious.
“Oh, some humans dance like this,” he replied. Violetta beamed at the connection this dance had to the human world, and she put her hand on his shoulder.
The two began to step in time with the music. It wasn’t really appropriate for such South Asian music, no - usually Indian dancing would be preferred. But right now, the Taruhul princess didn’t care.
Orion spun her round, and Violetta laughed. The Sohan prince grinned at her and suddenly dipped her. Violetta yelped as she found herself horizontal, Orion’s hand on her back, staring into his eyes.
They kissed, and Violetta giggled when Orion broke away. He smiled widely.
“Um, that wasn’t part of the dance, but technically it could be, as it was usually meant to-“
Violetta kissed him again, and Orion kissed back.
The last rays of sun dipped into the horizon.
Day 6: Florist/Tattoo Artist AU
It was a sunny day, and the sun rays lit up parts of the ocean. Orion glanced at the girl that had come into his parlour. He smiled when he saw who it was.
Violetta was the florist opposite him. She had all kinds of magical bouquets, and merfolk often came to buy flowers from her. She was sweet, and Orion liked her for that.
The brown-skinned naga watched as she swam towards him. He saw that her eyes lit up on spotting him, and his heart beat faster.
However, on further inspection, Violetta wasn’t really...cheery. She was more subdued today. Orion paused, not sure what to say. Then, she said something she’d promised would never come out her mouth upon first meeting him.
“I want a tattoo.”

Orion stared. Then, he found himself laughing nervously.
“W-What?”
“I want a tattoo.”
“No, you don’t,” he said, looking at her. This caught Violetta off guard.
“I’ve...changed my mind?”
Orion sighed, watching Violetta’s pink tail swish as she fidgeted.
“Sweetheart, sit down.”
Violetta did so, and Orion took a seat next to her. He turned towards her.
“Now, I know this isn’t genuine, because you’re not happy today. What happened?”
“Vincent said I couldn’t,” she said. Orion frowned.
“Why not?”
Violetta threw her hands up in the air. “I don’t know!” she exclaimed. “He’s been a bit strange lately.”
“Maybe he’s just...I don’t know. Stressed.”
Violetta paused. “You could be right,” she said. Orion smiled.
“See? I noticed your shop’s closed for the day. Why’s that?”
Violetta blushed, and Orion raised an eyebrow with a smirk.
“I...wanted to spend the day with you.”
Orion was surprised. He then laughed nervously. “Thanks, that would be nice.”
Violetta giggled, suddenly grabbing the ends of her tail and looking at the tattoo artist. “Are you blushing?”
“Now who told you that?” Orion asked playfully. Violetta laughed, spinning upside down in a circle before grabbing his hand, a twinkle in her eyes.
“Could you show me your art book?”
Orion smiled. “Sure.”

The naga was sat down with her, and he went through his drawings one by one, telling the stories behind each tattoo.
“A pirate hat. This guy wanted to be a pirate,” he said, his tail flicking upwards. Violetta looked at it with interest. Orion then flicked to the next page.
“That’s...” he trailed off.
“That’s me,” Violetta said quietly.
Orion had drawn the brown-skinned mermaid laughing, with flowers and beads decorating her hair. Violetta gingerly touched the page. “It’s beautiful. Thank you,” she said.
The naga didn’t notice his tail winding around Violetta’s until she was pulled close to him. Orion stared into her eyes.
He leant in and their lips met. Violetta’s hands moved so they cupped Orion’s cheeks. The naga kissed deeper, his tail winding more around her. After a few minutes, they then broke away, and Violetta giggled.
“That was nice,” she smiled. Orion smirked, kissing her nose. The mermaid squeaked in surprise and Orion laughed. Violetta kissed the tattoo artist deeply before pulling away again.
“I guess I like you a lot, not just your tattoos,” Violetta said. Orion grinned and the two rested their foreheads against one another.
Orion would be seeing Violetta in his tattoo shop a lot more from now on.
Day 5: Person A being stunned by Person B in Formal Attire
Leila stared at the light sky blue lehenga in front of her. She traced the design carefully with her finger, staring at her curly black hair that went down to her chest.
She was going to be at Orion’s coronation - Mars, the King of the Sohan kingdom, had died and Orion took over pretty quickly. He knew the inner workings of Soha, and he was a good guy. He’d be an amazing King.
She gulped, thinking of Vincent. He’d have to marry someday, and the thought of being carried over the threshold was, well, terrifying. Leila wasn’t at all sure she was ready.
For now, though, that thought had to be pushed to the back of her mind. She slipped into her matching heels and raced down the hall, apologising to the servants as she did so.
The Sohan girl came out into the room before the balcony. Currently the doors were closed, and Orion was staring at a sword.
His father’s sword.
The weapon glittered with magic - Sohan magic, celestial magic. Leila stared at it, then back up at Orion.
“I promise you’ll be fine,” she whispered.
Suddenly, she found him hugging her.
“Thanks Lil,” Orion said, and she smiled widely.
She knew he’d be a good Sohan king, and that was all that she could think about.
_______________________
Finally, it was time for the coronation ball. Orion walked down the steps towards the throne. He read the Sohan vows, and Leila came down the steps some time after. She heard someone’s breath hitch, and a familiar voice in a Taruhul accent.
Vincent.
She turned round and saw him. Her eyes widened.
Holy shit, he did NOT need to look that good. That wasn’t fair.
His hair was nearer than usual, and he wore a green shalwar kameez. The antler crown was on his head, and he walked towards her. His cologne hit her and she nearly stumbled from how good it smelt.
“Raniya,” he said lowly.
Leila laughed nervously, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. She looked into his eyes and god no, she wasn’t supposed to fall for him more, that wasn’t what she’d expected-
She shrugged that feeling off. She took the Taruhul King’s arm and the drums started.
The drums that would play at their wedding, no doubt.
Leila watched the dancers and grabbed his hand.
“Let’s dance.”
Vincent grinned, and Leila smiled widely.
She wouldn’t be afraid of the future as long as he was by her side.
Day 3: Watching The Stars
“Come on!”
Vincent stumbled, laughing as his girlfriend helped him up.
“Where are we going?”
“You’ll see, be patient,” Leila said, dragging him along by the hand.
Vincent heard his girlfriend giggle. He still didn’t know where they were going. The blindfold sat comfortably over his eyes, and he wondered how long this would go on.
Finally, Leila pulled the blindfold over his head. She then said in a singsong tone, “open your eyes!”
The Taruhul King did so and gasped. His eyes took in the twinkling sky above.
“How in bhakata did you find this?”
Leila laughed.
“Ki’innhal kalahan’gar inopayaha,” she replied, which translated to “It’s where I go sometimes to think.”
Vincent looked at her, surprised. She was always revealing new things, and that was one of the many things he liked about Leila.
The two lay down on the soft grass, and Leila looked up at the sky. “Yalun maldunn’ir se grayanda’al?” which translated to, “Can you see the constellation?” She pointed up at the stars and the shapes they made.
Vincent paused. “Which one?” he asked, looking up at the constellations.
“Orion,” Leila answered. Vincent chuckled.
“Kal’un bukinda’al meelandkun’i, mal’un?” which translated to, “you’re just doing this to fuck with me, aren’t you?”
Leila laughed. “Yes.”
“There.”
“Nope. Little to the left.”
“What?” Vincent laughed. “I’m pointing right at it!”
“Nope.” Leila grabbed his arm.
“W-What are you-“
“Literally just-“
She began moving his arm from side to side, trying to pinpoint the constellation.
“How on earth are you so strong?” Vincent asked as he tried to pry his arm away.
“Eken’ha!” Leila said, lightly slapping his arm. “I’m trying to help you!”
Vincent laughed and suddenly turned to her. He kissed her with a grin and Leila kissed back, deepening the kiss. Vincent suddenly found himself on top of her and grinned, kissing her again.
“You’re right below him.”
“Am I?”
Vincent looked up. “Ooh. There!”
“Yes,” Leila said, a smile on her face. Vincent rolled off her.
“Ah damn,” Leila said.
“Why, you liked being underneath me?” Vincent asked with a wink. Leila rolled her eyes.
“Shut up,” she laughed. “But yes, he’s there.”
Vincent traced the constellation with his finger. “I thought Orion was a dog.”
“What?” Leila laughed. “Where on Earth did you get that? Sirius is the Dog Star.”
“Siriusly?” Vincent asked, and Leila facepalmed. The Taruhul King laughed, kissing her cheek.
“No but really. Thank you for this.”
She smiled at him.
“Anything for you, my love.”
Day 4: Soulmate Mark AU
Vincent ran into the throne room. He was late for a meeting, with Rapunzel no less! She at least deserved punctuality on his side, since it was the removal of magic from the sundrop flower via his kingdom that had led to the kidnapping in the first place.
The Taruhul King saw Rapunzel helping a girl with curly black hair and brown skin paint some words. He walked towards them.
“Um, Your Highness?” His Taruhul accent slipped in and Rapunzel turned round.
“Hal’in Raj,” she replied. Vincent was surprised and she laughed. “You really think I wouldn’t learn Taruhul? It’s a good thing, to learn another’s language.”
“It is. Thank you.”
The princess beamed at him and talked to the girl. Vincent watched the girl nod. He was waiting for Rapunzel to finish when he frowned, looking at the words the girl was painting.
‘Stars are the flowers of space’. I’ve heard that before.
He climbed up the extension to where the girl was. “That’s pretty.”
“Thank you! I-“
The girl froze, looking at his crown. Vincent looked at her, confused. Then, she looked down at her wrist. He followed her gaze.
There was an imprint of his crown on her wrist.
Vincent couldn’t breathe. He felt like laughing and crying at the same time. He smiled at her.
“Hi.”
Now she faced him full on. He was struck by her beauty.
“Hi,” she said with a laugh, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.
They began talking, and suddenly, Vincent felt like he was falling.
It was fine, though, because he didn’t mind falling for her.
“Well, I didn’t expect this to happen...”
“Me neither.”
OC Shipping Week: Day 1 - Character A and B get handcuffed together
Vincent and Leila get handcuffed together and at first they’re very confused about the whole situation, but then they warm up to each other.
Also here’s the sketch because I like it better:
